My clutch is too sensitive... :)

New to the game after playing FC2 for quite some time.... just been walking around a bit, doing the hunting and gathering and killed a few peeps.

So I tried driving a car, wasn't THAT bad but still slightly, worse it got when I took on some fedex mission to deliver some medical supplies somewhere on a 4 wheel bike of some kind, and this in 20 seconds or something. I am just jumping all over the place because the control of the vehicle is nothing like FC2... If I press accelerate (W) or try to steer (A/D) it seriously overdoes the motion... do not know if this is because the game is made for an analogue control device on a console or whatever but there really is no such thing as pressing left SLIGHTLY... so I am either going straight or making a max turn.... always on full trottle....

any hints? am I doing this wrong? can sensitivity be reduced one way or another?

They've improved a lot on the car handling, but forgot to tune it to keyboard and mouse. It's perfect with a controller. Too bad you have to play the whole game with a controller if you want to drive cars with one. Unless you're fine with going to options and changing control scheme every time you exit a car. Blegh. There's nothing to do but get used to steering the vehicles with quick taps.

Just tap the steering button instead of holding it and it works ok.

I am under the impression that the steering difficulties especially of the quad bikes is changing from place to place - some places are easy others are awful no matter what terrain.

I had no problems controlling the vehicles, with the keyboard even the medical drop ones. As they say practice makes perfect as I was hopeless at first.

I use arrow keys, same as L/R, F/B (since I am a lefty) and it is fine.

I can even do all the races and missions fine too. It takes a little more concentration and getting used to it compared to a pad or wheel, but it is ok since the physics are so basic.

I'm a lefty too, but use the A, W, S and D keys. Use the mouse with my right hand.

I use mouse in left hand, but use regular mouse button assignments. When I first picked up a mouse, I just naturally set it on the left hand side of k/b, but never bothered changing buttons to lefty (back on windows 3).. Weird what you get used to, and why.
