    Stealth and picking your battles

Basically do you think we'd have situations where you and a mate are walking down the street and you spot 4 hostile's walking towards you who haven't noticed you, will you be able to duck into an alley to hide and avoid a hard fight or will they know your there from mini-map or something and come after you and steal your stuff?

On the other side, will you be able to sit in wait for a team of hostiles to wander past and ambush them?

Some people were saying that stealth was mentioned in one of the interviews, I don't remember hearing about it, but it's entirely possible they did and I missed it. I would support some degree of stealth gameplay. Not so much "I've turned invisible" as hiding the name and health bar unless a person is looking directly at you while you're visible (Whether out of cover or only partially under cover). If it's a magic cloak kinda thing, no thanks.

i think removing floating names when your in cover might be good, then at least you can hide from overwhelming odds or flank in a fire fight without the enemy being able to see a big glowing light over you giving you away.

hopefully the world will be arranged in a way the ambushes are hard to set up flawlessly.

I would definitely enjoy some form of stealth. I agree there shouldn't be like any invisibility or anything that can make you totally unseen. I do think there should be maybe some talent to make you undetectable to the pulse skill in the demo. Having no names above peoples heads in the dark zone would help also. So that you aren't easily spotted.

If there is some form of cqc with the stealth that would be cool, for taking down npcs and even real players.

stealth is good but not to the point of avoiding all combat, in SWTOR i played shadow tank and u can avoid 90% of fighting if you play well ^^

Just imagine how many intense stealth scenarios can occur in PvP games... If your Low on resources (Food/Water etc) & knowing that you have only a couple areas you can go that contain the needed resources to survive, such as the local supermarkets placed throughout the game,,,, There's no telling if another player or groups of players are in there creeping through the shadows scavenging for goods, then become alarmed as they hear you make noise as you step in the supermarket.. You have no choice but to take that chance just to survive.. fighting in a dark half lightened supermarket can play out pretty well with all the aisles you can use for protection & flanking abilities..I would love fighting for what's mine or fighting to take what others have.... Or Just simply walking troughout the manhattan area & getting into a shoot out in times square with hundreds of stranded cars for cover on the empty streets because someone noticed a fancy gun on your back that they wanna steal from you .. If this game play out like the way i have it in my head, this game can easily be game of the year...oh boy i can't wait until this game release more info

Can only guess when not engaged your character name won't be lit up just the health bar. As for stealth I'm sure it's possible, but it still comes down to line of sight.
