    Weapon Types

I would love to be able to see Light Machine Guns along with of course the usual Rifles and Sub machine guns. I've always enjoyed any shooter that allowed me to have a LMG and would love to see it involved in the game.

I personally am not a fan of people running around with LMG's as if they weigh nothing and shooting as accurately as a rifle without the use of a bipod

Another thing I hope they balance is the ratio of military weapons to civilian weapons. If everyone is running around with military weaponry the game will get boring quickly.

Seems to me they will go the MMO route and have a lot of gear - especially weapons, attachments and 'buffs' for them. You earn, loot or unlock them and that implies they will have a lot of classes of weapons and devices to pick from.

The balance I hope for is carry capacity. So as long as you can carry or holster your kit you can take it with you. One of the things they can do for the setting (at the very least) is make scarcity and kit choices count. I don't care if you have 1000 guns at your homebase, you should only be allowed to carry a couple and its ammo into the field.

I totally agree! This is a Tom Clancy game, and I therefore expect a little more realism!
Hell give us LMG's but be sure to make it inaccurate if a player doesn't know how to burst, and understand that he needs to be stationary to be accurate.

I also hate when people think car doors gives good cover...

Funnily enough, the seats in the car are more likely to stop a bullet than the door if the foam is dense enough

Depends on the caliber... A 7.62x52 mm full metal jacket will probably pierce that foam seat depending on range. :P
    - Still, it seems like it's realistic enough when you watch the gameplay.

I'm more of a sniper type player like to play from a range and just pick off people with head-shots.

Though whether or not there is going to LMGs is reasonable question but being in the Tom Clancy universe, we should expect a load out limit. It is pretty common in current games that no character carries an infinite number of weapons. The one portion of the video just outside of the police station where Nick changes his equipment to the seeker mine, you can notice on the left side there is talent menu and the weapons that appear are a pistol, 2 smgs and the last one appears to be a shotty. So who really knows.

We should be asking ourselves what do want in this game because it is new or what do we expect since it is a Tom Clancy. realism, tactics and fun should be on the top of the list. I have read in other threads if this is going to have COD like features. Just because COD is doing full customization that does that mean this should. We have our opinions and such but I have mentioned before in the past GR was the modern day shooter when COD was stuck in WW2. Now it seems COD new features are all the old features of GR and similar games such as lean.

Confirmed weapon types from the gameplay video:

SMG: Kriss Vector used by Nick
Sniper rifle: Couldn't tell the type, used by Megan
Shotgun: Pump action used by Bronson
Pistol: Carried by a couple of the enemies outside the police station
Assault Rifle: Mk17 SR picked up in the police station (aka SCAR-H)

They also showed off two mods (Scope and Suppressor on Megan and Nick's weapons respectively), and when Nick was picking up the AR in the police station it looked like it had 3 mod slots: Magazine, Top rail, and Stock. If magazine mods are available, we may be able to find high capacity mags for the AR giving them the fire suppression that a LMG packs.

Love sniping to , but I just hope the game allow us to climb areas for a better shot.
