I mean honestly does Ubi soft want our money, I'm already playing Arma 3 alpha and we have something kinda like this with the wastelands mod, I mean honestly it doesn't seem as polished as this game but can easily become so when the release of Arma 3 comes out (it's mostly pvp though), I mean i think this is just Good Guy Ubisoft letting the modding community just make this type of game when companies refuse to bring it to the customers. I mean how did we long for a game just based around zombie survival and boom the community that actually cares for the gaming community goes... Oh yeah this could make us quite famous and well loved... I mean i heard Arma 2 sold so horribly after Day Z came out, now it has a long awaited stand alone release.... someone could easily do this type of game on Arma 3's engine... and if people really want it im 99% sure the modding community, or indie company would just love to get a free player base of all the people who want this game to come to the computer. I mean it isn't that hard if you think about it.
Pc gamers don't want a we might think of making this, just say it... yes we will release a pc version a month later if this is coming out on console release, or we're making a pc version with the console version... a maybe will just have a bunch of people complaining about your games when you say Nah we don't want too for giving them false hope.
so
1. Have an angry pc community with just out right saying no
2. have a happy pc community with sayying yes
3. Even more angry with leading them on with a PC version
I don't see why not. (I would love it if they made it for the PC, hell I'll live dealing with the Uplay crap)
You see in the past, porting games from PC to consoles and vice versa was rather hard. Completely different architecture, different API's, etc. But now with the emergence of the next-gen consoles, they are built upon AMD processors using x86. The same stuff we're using on our computers. The point is that porting may be a thing of the past, or much lessened (looking at you Dark Souls).
I personally will be getting a PS4 down the road, I don't like paying for cable and most of the stuff I would watch off my TV would be things like Netflix, Youtube, etc. Adding to that I would like to continue playing some of my PS3 games as well. So either way I'll get the game, although I would rather play this on my PC where I have some serious horsepower under the hood with a triple monitor setup.
Please use one of the following threads for discussion regarding the possibility of a PC version.
The Division for PC.
So... PC version?.
