Hey everyone! I have been obsessing a bunch over this game and am awaiting the answers to questions on the Q&A thread on the Ubisoft forums. So while I am waiting I figured I'd take a close look at the trailer and see if I could spark any conversation about some of the smaller details shown.
On the Live Map
- Group members are marked with name
- Orange dots with numbers - My guess is other players or groups
- "Vendor" Locations with yellow diamonds
- Dynamic event locations marked with Blue dots
- Orange and blue shaded areas of the map. Orange area marked as "Dark Zone"
- Large orange circle around the NYC Office of Emergency MNG. Label next to it says "Secure". Possible Safe House location?
- Bridges end with destination markers. Possible map loading at these points
The HUD
- Health and ammo on bar and in number format
- Active skills or perks shown below health bar
- Group members shown with status, health, perks, AFK status, and a symbol for whether they are playing on the ground or from a tablet.
- Group members shown with clan tag
- Able to scan NPC's for infection
- Also able to scan for the cause of death on a body
- Main player's Skill perk called "Pulse" acts like sonar or wallhack. Locates nearby enemies and highlights them through walls with red. Effect has a countdown until it wears of. Also a red bar signaling the cooldown on the ability.
- Players have points to spend on unlocking other skills.
- Other seen Skills: Group Heal, Distraction Device, Indomitable (Anti Crowd Control), Adrenaline Boost, Seeker Mine
- Separate section called Talents
- XP awarded for kills. More xp for harder NPC's
- Damage output shown when shot lands
- Group buff from the Tablet player showing an increase of 20 damage
- Items highlighted - Food, water, Med kit, Weapon type
- Map in the police station can be used to update your map. Possibly allows you to find events that other cannot.
- New weapon shows name, damage range, accuracy range, magazine size, and attachment capabilities
- Extraction countdown of 90 seconds shown after flare launches
- Enemy players' names and clan name shown after player uses Pulse
- Red lines connecting close enemies. White line connecting teammates. I assume this is meant to keep you from accidentally firing upon a friend. This might also indicate that friendly fire is possible.
- Level of Event at construction site displayed as Level 3

One thing I noticed is after he picks up the gun is friend says "That gun is sick. We better get it out before you lose it." Followed by "Ok I got my flare ready to go". To me this sounds like if you find something in game and you die before you get extracted you lose the it. So if you do get it out(get extracted) does that mean you unlock it and you can get it back after you die? Maybe its like a save, or maybe you are able to buy it back if you die. I want to know more about this mechanic.
You should also add its 4 player plus a drone for each group.
There are also group events as shown when they see the tunnel.
