Hello guys,
Here I am to strat a new thread about the amazing and upcoming game Tom Clancy's:The Division. this game will be released on PS4 and Xbox1 , the two new consoles from Sony and Microsoft. Yep you've not misread something here is missing. Some of you, who certainly have NOT seen the E3 media Briefing, in which case I highly advise you to do so to give a totally informed opinion on this thread, may ask what's missing ? Well guys to make it the MOST AMAZING GAME EVER there are two letters missing. PS4, Xbox1 and PC Yes, here we are, they won't release it on PC. UNLESS we, PCgamers, unite ourselves and enjoin them to make a PC version ! I know for a fact that if a PC version ever comes available I'll buy one as soon as the shop opens. Even before, i'll break into the shop to get one. So here's my idea:
If EVERYONE could let a message supporting this thread, maybe, we could make them consider a release on PC for this awesome game: The Division
SO please be sure to leave a comment on this thread to share your opinions.
Best regards,
Mr.Propre
Hey,
I just logged in to make a Thread just like this because the fact they are not making it for PC is absolutely ridiculous. Why they would not add support for one of the most important systems is beyond me because there would be so much potential with it IF they added in support for PC Version.
With the game how it is it is basically MADE for PC with it being an MMO. Most of the most popular MMO games are on PC because PC systems can support them the best. They could do So much more with it on the PC system than they ever could with the console versions, like bigger maps, much larger servers, better graphics and mechanics, it is limitless with PC's. Plus lets be honest they would make so very much more money if they released it on PC as well so it would only profit them because as a primarily PC Gamer myself I saw it and just thought this is meant for the PC and I would buy it as soon as it came out for what ever price it was and what ever subscription fee came with it, if any, obviously better for us if there wasn't but come on it just looks like such a epicly amazing game who wouldn't.
There's also a feature I thought they could add which would be to add the online game mechanic that linked all the online services of all the supported systems so every player no matter what system, played together so their servers could be massive and stay full all the time because it wouldn't be decided by the online capacity of one system plus if one system doesn't have a lot of players online it literally wouldn't matter because everyone can play on the same server(s) together.
When this game is released it will literally swamp the rest of the competition by a mile because of the uniqueness it will bring by adding in all the aspects of all the greatest game genres into one wholesome game package they just need to add the support to one of the most important systems they could have on their side. PC Gamer's.
Everyone show your support for this so you can show your support for this awesome game by making it even more epic.

If The Division is aimed at the new generation consoles, they will perform as well as or better than most PCs. As for servers, MMO servers don't run on PCs as you and I know them regardless of what platform the players are using, they run on much more powerful dedicated server hardware that has almost no graphics capability. This is the same for all MMOs, console or PC, so having a PC version will make no difference to the server size.Originally Posted by CRUSADER_111 Go to original post
While in general I personally would rather it come out on PC, there are other issue too. The PC market is not as big as it used to be and gaming in general is moving to consoles. At the same time, consoles are slowing moving in to territory that used to be exclusively the province of PCs such as media serving, internet browsing, social networking and so forth.
The biggest factor for games moving away from PC is development, testing and support costs. There is so much variety in technical specification and installed software among PCs that it's impossible to develop a game that will run without problems on all PCs. Even with exhaustive testing, an unusually bug free game and explicitly clear system requirements information, support are still swamped every game release by people complaining that the game wont run on their 10 year old laptop....this costs money and makes PC titles a lot less profitable than their console counterparts.
This is unlikely to happen because as I understand it, both Microsoft and Sony consoles play through their respective network services (XBox LIve and Play Station Network) and at least one of those two actively discourages connection between the two services.

Further, if you put PC into the mix you start running in to the inequities caused by the console controller v. mouse/keyboard issue. In general, playing a shooter with a mouse & keyboard is a huge advantage over a controller and wouldn't be fair.
To me this game looks a lot like a much better developed and more fun version of DayZ. Seeing that DayZ has nearly 1.7 million unique users I cannot see The Division not succeeding in the PC market. For one, it will attract both shooter and MMO fans, people crave open world games, especially sandbox games, PC gamers especially. Unless the game is overwhelmingly bad, there is no way it would not succeed on the PC market. Steam has an average of 3 million players online at all times. While a large portion of gaming is moving away from the PC market, there are still a lot of PC gamers who are devoted to their machines. My ten closest friends and I are all PC gamers, and some of them also play on consoles and they, by a wide margin, prefer PC to a console any day. As for the next gen consoles having better specs than most PCs my 2 year old laptop has damn near the same specs as the upcoming consoles, with more RAM, a GPU clocked at 2% slower than the one in the PS4, and a processor with 1 less core. It cost me 1.2k which is a lot, but that is cheap for a gaming laptop with close to the same specs as a "next-gen" console.
I would love to be playing this game when it comes out, it looks fantastic, PvP, PvE, open world, RPG, it's got everything I dream about in games, except that it's not going to be on PC. Please, please, please, consider making it for PC Ubisoft. Bungie is already keeping us from Destiny, but The Division looks way better.
Personally, yes. However I have no more input than you, I don't work for Ubisoft. I'm just a volunteer helper on the forums.Originally Posted by Jibspoon Go to original post![]()
