Already wondering about Open-World, Day-Night Cycle and time progression.

I am hoping the open world isn't just a static collection of 'points of interest' maps nit together to fake an open world. Dynamism is pretty much required in this era of MMOs. And it shouldn't just come from PVP (not a lot of people will want to engage in that if they can help it)

To me open world means you can affect it, walk and explore almost anywhere unhindered by loading gates and lobbies. The world has to imply days, nights and at the very least a progression of time on the environment. The game demo is winter/holiday season; should we expect to always be suspended in that time period or is that too much to ask?

Hope the info comes now its announced, there is a lot to understand.

When I first saw the game play, I, too, thought about different seasons. Maybe Spring or Summer times. But, after reading the story about the game, I've come to think that it'll probably be winter the whole time. But, that's okay. This game DEFINITELY needs a day/night cycle. And of course, I agree with you in that you have to be able to go everywhere. Not just specific places. I want ally-ways and back streets, as well. Imagine crossing another squad that is hostile in an ally-way. My god..

Its seems new info suggests it's all seamless. Very cool.

Unfortunately no info on any kind of time progression (Day/Night). Lots of potential cool gameplay would be missed if there is no night time.
