The first team that we followed in the gameplay was 3 players with 1 tablet player. But at the end when they were extracting, they were engaged by a full 4 player team. I would guess there is a limit of 4 players per team, and you can invite tablet players to be drones. Otherwise it might turn into a bit of a gank squad if there is like 10 in one team.
You could always get multiple teams to fight as one?

I honestly don't think they should limit team sizes. If you have ever cleared a building in your life then you know the number of people needed to effectively clear a structure is based on the structure itself. I would love to be able to go into a hotel with fifty of my guild mates and separate them into five man teams. Every team takes a floor including the lobby so no one comes up behind you. Have two to four tablet players as over watch to make sure that if any enemy players approach the building we have a fair warning.
Someone mentioned gank squads. In reality if this were to happen you would see bands of people attempting to take what others have. Look at other recent disasters and how the human element of such disasters reacted. If you are running a four to five man team on a small mission you may encounter a group of ten players attempting to get what you have. At the same time you can call for backup from your guild and turn this into a giant melee in downtown.
That's my opinion at least.

What I hope would be something along the lines of 8 or less in a team. Other teams could join together to form an alliance of sorts. Working together or secretly plotting the destruction of one another. Just think of rivalries this could entail.
Team size was confirmed to be 4 players plus 1 tablet user per group on both IGN and Machinima's livestream events. Theoretically you could have as many groups on teamspeak or ventrillo as could fit into the zone. I would assume there is some sort of instancing that will prevent 100 people from jumping on a single team of players trying to extract.
