As much as I would like it on PC too, it's not hard to see why they wouldn't want to port it. PC sales aren't as good as console for AAA titles and PC MMOs are in a weird place right now. Especially with most of the market being F2P.Originally Posted by gorumskev Go to original post
Pirates usually don't mess with mmorpgs since wow. So that argument is invalid.Originally Posted by Goochball Go to original post
Still, it's Ubi, they always tell us 'console only' at first and then they go with 'ok pc gamers, have your fun'.
Keep calm and release for PC, Ubi.
Okay, simply put, given more positive information on this game, I am willing to preorder it. And here comes the big "But...": Only if it is for PC. I have a great gaming machine sitting here, I have no interest in getting a console and I absolutely have no interest in getting a console for a game that I will be much more comfortable with playing on the PC (preferred methods of control and all that). The Division looks very good so far and has my interest, as well as the interest of a lot of my PC gamer friends.
This is just the game to bring to PC, as it will be able to exploit the strengths of the PC with a big player base, a more precise method of control (because, honestly, no controller will ever beat out a mouse on precision without any autoaiming assistance) and better architecture when it comes to Online play.
Honestly, I hope you guys reconsider and bring the game to the platform where it can be most successful in my opinion: the PC. The Next Gen market is not bad, but this is not a title you should make exclusively for it, even more so after the very vocal response you have gotten from the PC community so far. Yes, we are not an easy bunch to be around oftentimes, we tend to get vocal and rowdy when we feel treated wrong... and guess what, announcing a great game and excluding us is not going to make us feel loved, valued or in any way, shape or form accepted by one of the big companies.
Get this: we want to give you money. We want the opportunity to play this game and pay for it. We are willing to wait a bit compared to the console guys, we do not mind having to stand back so you can deliver a proper port. But do not make the mistake of leaving us out of the party. We tend to remember this and we do not take this kind of behaviour lightly. You want out attention? You have it. You want our money? Then deliver what we want, not what you want us to want. It does not work that way.
Regardless of how this all turns out, I wish you all the success for this game, because it sure seems awesome so far. But do not expect me to break away from my comfort zone to play your game on a piece of hardware I do not want. And, furthermore, if anything of what I wrote comes across as an insult or a flame or anything like that: it is not my intention. This is something I am passionate about, and it might get the better of me while I am trying to convey my passion. So, at the bottom line, take this, free of judgement:
I like the concept behind "The Division" and would love to play it on PC. Please, make it so.
With best wishes,
Taluien
Not releasing a PC version is Massive...fail. And also shove your "later dates" up your asses. Release a PC version, on time and with good quality and you will be rewarded with good sales on this great platform as well. Respect your customers if you want to be treated the same way. Otherwise, people always vote with their wallets where it hurts most.
