I started playing guitar in August of 2011 just before Rocksmith came out. After I decided to stick with it I told myself if I stuck with it for a year I'd get me a very nice guitar if I could play well enough. That time came last August I really felt great about my playing, but alas things came up and couldn't afford a more expensive guitar.
Fast forward to this past weekend I spotted a great deal on a Schecter SLS C-1 with Floyd Rose and passive pickups I couldn't pass up. Was doing my random looking at guitars and saw it listed at zzounds.com for only $600 and with their monthly payment plan and no interest I just couldn't help myself. They only had 2 left in see through blue burst which is what I had to have. Was almost completely in tune when I got it, just a couple of minor tweaks, haven't played much yet but soon I shall hop on Rocksmith and take it for a full test drive.
Without further ado here is the obligatory pic that everyone will skip to.

As an update, definately has been a good purchase so far. Brought it to work hoping for a very slow night and got my wish so have gotten to mess around with it a fair bit on Rocksmith. I love the coil splitting and have thoroughly enjoyed playing it so far. I'm not used to 24 frets as well as having to rely only on fret markers on top of guitar so making large jumps to the higher frets has been a bit rough thus far. Hopefully when I get home I'll be able to do up a video with this one.
I know what you mean about the extra frets, but once you get the fret location memorised you will find a lot of riffs flow a lot easier higher up the neck due to less movement required.Originally Posted by eevilways Go to original post
