This is crap, I haven't played this game in a while and now it is totally broken, DX9, no options (all greyed out) after a patch? aren't patches supposed to fix things? And it was a month ago? Awful

Hi i just fresh installed this game plus patch 1.8 and i just wanted to say that my framerate goes way down on my rig ( 2x GTX 680sli config i5 2500k @4,5 ghz 8Gb in 7 64 bit ).
First i had a constant 60 fps, but now with patch 1.8 it goes up and down from 30 fps to somehwere as 51 fps on all the highest settings DX11 and played on 1920x1080 / 1919x1080.
My rig can play all modern games on the highest settings in DX11 without a single frame loss.. this game however is still broken..

So any word why there is a framerate loss even when setting the gamesettings to a lower setting like : "Global illumination" to medium and disabeling "reflections".

Even in the patch notes it is mentioned that those settings should be high or on when having a GTX680 ... i have 2 !! but still not able to get a solid 60 FPS ..

What have you done to the coop, can´t kill any bad guys. only the player that hostes the game can kill the badguys. It worked great in the 1.6 patch.

It's still playable....just takes some patience. And the gameplay is fun....a shame that they made the co-op/guerrilla modes require you "make friends".....such a silly idea since I've played the old school Ghost Recons with no communication and was able to do fine. However....I am disappointed with how lousy this runs in any DX11 level....even at low I'm getting sub 30 fps at times on a 7970.

We’re happy to announce that Title Update 1.8 is now available.

If your PC is connected to the Internet when you launch Ghost Recon Future Soldier, an auto downloader will pop up to inform you that a game update is available for download and installation. To verify that T.U. 1.8 is correctly installed, check for the following in-game version number on the main menu: 1.8.130422.
    Change log

    Support for Windows XP.
Support for DirectX 9 on Windows Vista and Windows 7 (DirectX11 is recommended).
Improved performance of Volumetric Lighting and Global Illumination.
New graphical option to enable real-time rendering of all reflective surfaces (eg. windows).
Improved framerate performance for ATI users.
Support for Uplay friends’ list with more than 100 contacts.
Fixed Gunsmith issues for Windows user names with special characters (é, à, ç, etc.).
Improved textures on “Market Night” map.

    Known issues and workarounds

Highest quality of 'Global Illumination' option is meant to be used with high-end (Radeon HD7900 or GeForce GTX680 and higher) and future hardware. Setting Global Illumination to medium is recommended if you are experiencing low frame rate.
The new 'Reflections' option is designed for high-end configurations only. Please disable this option if you are experiencing low frame rate.
AMD dual-core processor with Windows XP (for users who have not installed SP3): you may experience a fast flickering of the in-game menu items. To work around this problem, install the AMD Dual-Core Optimizer available on the AMD website.
AMD or nVidia Dual-GPU / Crossfire / SLI cards: in order to avoid graphical issues, you will have to manually disable the multi-GPU modes of your video drivers prior to running the game under the DX9 environment.
In some isolated cases activating the Crossfire multi-GPU technology on a mobile Radeon HD6990M from Alienware results in a performance drop compared to a single GPU of the same setup.

    Notes regarding Windows XP support

Due to limitations of the engine and multithreading management in Windows XP, the performance with Windows XP may be lower than the performance obtained with the same hardware configuration using a more recent version of Windows. Please use a more recent version of Windows for a better experience.

    See you online!

No offense, but this game is riddled with low res ugly textures, and it is an unoptimized resource hog. Crysis 3 with all settings enabled to max dont consume as much vram resources as this ugly turd of a game does. Im running this game with QUAD SLI GTX 690 and CORE i7 2700k at 5.0 ghz, and you mean to tell me that some "global illumination" option and real time reflection check box causes a 50% drop in performance? On TWO gtx 690's? It is completely stupid and mind boggling as to why a developer would even bother to implement "next generation" graphics options on a console port running on an engine that was released in 2006! And NO heavily modified doesnt make it a current or next generation engine! The graphics options are broken and are not intended to be used. That is what should be put into the release notes. LOL even my friend who invested 4 thousand dollars on 4 gtx titans still gets the massive 50% performance drop. Maybe it will run ok with quad gtx 980's when they come out in 2018, but at that point the game will be 6 years old so that kind of defeats the purpose of the whole "future hardware" excuse. Ubisoft is widely regarded as the worst developer when it comes to pc games, because of the laziness in throwing an xbox 360 engine from 2006 into 2013 computer hardware. Never again will i spend another dime on any ubisoft game, no matter how highly it is critically acclaimed. HAWX is broken, Asassins creed is broken, GRFS is broken. And you force us to use a game client on top of steam. I still cant stop laughing as to when going from medium to high global illumination all of sudden requires a gtx 680 or 7990. Cmon Ubisoft that just doesnt make sense. I will be posting screenshots with global illumination on high and medium and with reflections on and off and I will let the gamers decide who is lying.
