    Crash on Launch

I purchased the non-Steam version today. When launching I get the splash screen then a windows error saying it is closing. Tried making the exes run as admin...same issue. Windows 8 64 bit 8 gb ram Nvidia 670

The only way I could get the game to launch is to launch it in safe mode through Uplay. Game crashes every time if I don't do that.

I did try that (Safe Mode) and I got the same result. Thanks though!

Hi, I suggest opening a ticket with Technical Support, the link is in my signature.

I'm running into the same issue. Also in Windows 8 64-bit with a GTX 670. Uninstalled and re-installed game. Tried Safe Mode too and no luck (ran for about 3 minutes before crashing).

The first time I launched it I was able to get all the way through the first mission. Right now I'm at the part where I'm supposed to go to the Dam. Wondering if it has something to do with loading the saved game or something. Submitted a ticket to Ubisoft, so I guess we'll see what they say.

Same here. GTX 680, Intel 3570k. Game freezes during cut scenes and if I'm lucky enough to make it into game play it freezes after 1 or 2 minutes. Haven't been able to make it through the tutorial. I skipped the cut scenes to make it that far. It seems like a fun game. I'm looking forward to a fix.

I was finally able to fix my issue. Turned off MSAA Anti-Aliasing and it seems to be working fine now. Not sure if that will fix it for everyone, but now mine seems to be stable.
