Why are the "Blood Dragon's" actually "Blood Dinosaurs"?

This has been on my mind for a while. Dragons are supposed to fly, and the ones in Blood Dragon cannot. They are more like Dinosaurs, so why call it "Blood Dragon"?

I'm not sure if dragons are specifically flying, aren't those called wyrms or something? Dinosaurs don't have lazer beam eyes so it's kind of a grey area either way.

Cyborgs don't exist either but thats not the point. If a dragon doesn't fly, its a dinosaur.

Dinosaurs fly. They aren't the same thing, and neither typically shoot lazers from their eyes... even though one is myth and one is an actual thing that once existed.

I bet because "Blood Dragon" sounds 800% cooler that "Blood Dinosaur".

I think "Dragon" can mean a million different things, especially in China and the Asian world. I didn't google it, just what I have heard.
