Otherwise, I am sure the developers already know that network issues suck and that we don't like them. And if they spent an hour explaining to a few users the details of the technical challenges they face, what they have tried and haven't tried -- that doesn't seem like a productive use of their time.

This game has too many end users with too many points of view for developers to engage with directly. I think it is appropriate and more efficient for them to use customer support resources to understand our concerns and desires and serve as a communication buffer with the development teams.

Most sense I've seen on these forums for the last 2 years

    I second that.

I'm not voting. I feel like a straight up open discussion with the developers wouldn't be constructive because most of us have little knowledge about what goes in to game development and design. I feel like community polls about specific issues that the devs would like our opinions on are very beneficial though.

    All of these.

I won't go into to much detail, but from what I see, IF the developers were to grant an audience with all of the players, there would be very little positive outcome that can come out of it but various negative implications that could potentially manifest.

So my vote is no. And I would like to politely invite everyone who voted yes to rethinking their opinion on the matter.

p/s: I wish the forum has an upvote-downvote system so that I won't have to say "This." every time I agree with somebody elses' opinion but don't feel like writing something coherent down.

I submitted a support ticket on 3/25/2013, and I still havent gotten a response, a week later, I updated my support ticket. Thinking something had gone wrong 2 weeks after, I submitted a different one, and a week after that, I updated my support ticket once again, and there has still been no response...

I sure wish contacting customer support WERE an option that would get a response.

They are on twitter, where they are pretty active and respond to tweets. They have done quite a few podcasts with other members of the community.. And we have forums which they are looking at :P

If they were paying attention then the same issues wouldn't keep happening ^^ They'd see oh....they had that issue in the last game, lets identify and fix that issue for AC3, but no same issue's new game, i would like a developer to come on here and tell us the community that they have done this and that to improve the game and show that they are listening, instead of having a Noctayla going getting info and coming back, she's does a great job and keeping the community involved, but i'd personally like to hear from the Developers themselves, yes they might talk to 1 or 2 specific people, but as a community in general, it would be nice to see them address us directly, im not suggesting it to be a regular thing, but for the sake of easing concern's of another flawed MP, it would be nice to hear that they know whats up, what they've done to fix it for the new MP, and no i dont mean info on the new MP like modes and such, i know whatever the put in the game is gunna be awesome, but technical wise im not so confident as to if the game will follow on issues from the previous installments. ^^

The result of the poll is clear: we want a dev to come here and talk to the community!
