    They are busy..

The Community Developers - work closely with the Dev team - sometimes in the same office - so have a direct line to them and can pass on your comments and concerns.

However if you are expecting a member of the coding team to 'pop on and say hi' - it most likely won't happen..

Com Devs and FM's are the face of the game team - we all work closely with them and can find out answers to certain questions

AC4 details are all under wraps - so specific questions about that game - won't be answered.

Concerns about it - can be passed on though.

    Sorry to disappoint you.

Yes because the same issues have been in the previous installments, except ACB, i dont recall my console freezing on that, but if the same issues are gunna keep coming out, something needs to be changed ^^

Well they are aware of the community wishes for improvements to MP etc

If you have freezing - and haven't already - it's vital to make sure you have reported it to support about it.

The forums - while good for highlighting issues - need support contacts to back up those reports, even if there's no instant fix - your ticket goes to show how many are affected and regions etc.

Support play a vital role on collating lots of feedback for the game teams - they supply solid details that forum post's can't - some people make fake accounts to push fixes or personal agendas - so please make sure you use the support system.

Even if it's something that can't be fixed for the current titles - they make sure they are aware of issues for future ones.

Same as the feedback threads - they do read them.. even if they can't make everyone happy by fixing everything - they can include some things in the next title.

I think if anyone wants an audience with the developers to discuss disconnects, lag, etc, they should understand the underlying network issues and be prepared to discuss them constructively. If someone on the forum is a software developer who has successfully addressed network stability issues in their own applications and can offer advice to Ubisoft, that would be great. Otherwise, I am sure the developers already know that network issues suck and that we don't like them. And if they spent an hour explaining to a few users the details of the technical challenges they face, what they have tried and haven't tried -- that doesn't seem like a productive use of their time.

This game has too many end users with too many points of view for developers to engage with directly. I think it is appropriate and more efficient for them to use customer support resources to understand our concerns and desires and serve as a communication buffer with the development teams.

If you looked at the poll, it's to talk to an actual member of the Development Team, not someone who works closely with them, im sure im not that only person that would appreciate some time from one of them to answer our questions, to explain to us a little of why certain issues occur, why certain things might not work, what limitations they can do etc, im sure other's would like to hear directly from them, show's that their willing to take time to explain and understand why so many people complain about certain things, especially if its an issue that follows through with each new title, taking some time during a day to talk the community is not alot to ask for, nor do i think it is unreasonable. So far the responses are little to no good, with "take a ticket with customer support and you can troubleshoot" when the issue like constant freezing and having to watch my console go into recovery mode has been around since ACR, So i do hope that if enough people vote and would like a member of the Development Team to talk to us directly about the issues we're having, it'll show alot about how much they care about their fans, but it shouldn't matter if 1000 people or 1 person would like a chance to speak to them, the fact that someone does should be enough to come on and give them some time. ^^

That is the role of the Com Dev - to answer issues and questions from the community.

The Com Devs are the people put in place to work with the game team - on matters such as that..

However, due to your other posts to myself and the other members of the Forum team, I guess I'm not good enough to answer you - since you disregard my answers, so will call it a day.

Hopefully your Com Dev will pop along and explain it better than I apparently can.

    Hi all,

The goal of community people (like our Forum managers or myself) is to be the interface between devs and players, because direct interactions between the two are hard to achieve (and might not happen otherwise). This is mostly because devs are usually very busy, well, developing - which is what they enjoy doing above all.

The fixes our devs code, the design insights our designers write, the events we put in place together, are all part of that process.

We're here to browse all the means of communication you have to reach to us and to give the teams an idea of what you think, so that they hear your opinion about the games we're making and supporting. On the other side of things, we're also here to make your opinion count for them, to show them what you think and give them a clear idea of how important or less important this or that is for you.

We've shown on AC3 that we've taken a variety of measures to make this happen more and more (have a look at the dev tracker for instance, and compare it to what was being done for ACR or ACB).

That being said, we know there is still room for improvement. We want to make more Devs Q&A (that is, when our devs have time to devote to that), and a bunch of other things to build tighter links between players and devs because, as community people, that's our main objective.

I understand what your saying Noctalya, but to me the same issues get the same response which is contact customer support (honestly that does nothing) I personally think it would be of benefit for 1 member of the team to come on here read all our issues, and address them, we understand that they are busy at work, but if they dont take the time to come on here, the same problems will just continue and as developers they should take pride in the work...coding is an art, making nice clean code that works very efficiently is the aim of any coder. Im sure taking some time during a day isn't alot to ask for, and as i said, in doing so, it will show just how much they care, seeing as its not something normally done. Taking the time to see and understand our issues first hand, directly is what we would like to see. Even if they can't fix all the issues, at least they gave their time, they did their best and explaining things to us and understanding us.^^

A quick G+ Hangout (I think Ubi did some of these a few days ago) with one of the devs would be really nice .
Maybe with something like a sign-up where you have to tell why you wanna join the hangout (to avoid trolls and ppl who just want to complain).

Yes, this is not for complaining , this is to have a civil conversation with people who work on the game, a constructive conversation can help improve this game ^^
