SH3 wont run in windows 7 for me | Forums

Sorry if this is a repeat issue, I looked around the forum a bit and didn't find issue mentioned.

Trying to launch SH3 in windows 7 and it comes up and tells me it needs certain versions of windows to run game, of course win 7 not being one of them.



Second issue, is gameshadow still the meduim we use for patching/updating SH3 in, I can't seem to log into gameshadow, it tells me server is down...

If your having problems getting SH3 running under Win 7, I suggest that you browse this thread.

You can find the v1.4b patch for SH3 here. Make sure you choose the appropriate patch. There is one for the dvd installation and one for the digital download.

I read through the post but didn't find an "easy/workable" fix for this issue. Can someone break it down for me what has to be done to resolve this issue please?

As I was never able to get SH3 to run proberly on my computer under Windows 7, I really can't help much more. Were you able to get SH3 patched up to v1.4b? I know that the patch is absolutely necessary in order for the game to run under win 7. Sorry I couldn't be of more help.

Try re-installing it in a folder OTHER than "program files". Make a games folder or some such, that is the advice for SH4 and Win 7/8.
