Load failed. A required downloadable content is missing.

I've had the same message with Brotherhood from time to time, but I was able to fix it with a little bit of messing around with menus. I can't get AC3 to get past this menu, and I don't know what I should try. I'm not missing any required DLC.

I have the same problem. I was playing AC3 (with season pass contents) untill I reached 100% sync, then I uninstalled it.
Yesterday installed again (with all DLCs exept of Tyranny of king washington) in order to do the AC Initiates missions but I can't load the saved game.
    I also downloaded the 5 patches v2 to 6.

Update: I fixed it. It was Tyranny of king washington DLC that was missing. I dont unterstand what that dlc has to do with sp...

Assuming you're from Steam, there is nothing you can do. They recently released a Language patch that appears to have corrupted our save file. They said they are looking into it, but there is a lot of talking going around that they won't be able to do anything about it.

All we can do is wait and see. But I for one just decided to restart. Sucks, but they broke our save.

You can restart yeah. The save feature itself is not broken. Its just all AC3 Saves prior to the patch on Steam are now giving that error. You can still make a new game save, play it and load it back up without issue. The patch just seems to have corrupted or is not responding correctly to our saves prior to the patch.

Of course restarting is a no to most people. Wouldn't blame those with 50+ hours in on the game. I myself have just decided to restart. Wasn't really far in the game, just did a lot of side stuff. Oh well what can we do, its been nearly 3 days since this issue with no signs of a fix. Tired of waiting for something we're probably not gonna get a fix for, or at least see if they can or can not fix it.

Pretty poor performance on Ubisofts part here.
