Then the volume of rounds leading to the kill. (Engineer's backpack saves his life SO much).Originally Posted by sarsdisease21 Go to original post
I wouldn't say GRFS is realistic in it's hit registration=damage, but that slight erosion of the real does lead to a more fun and engaging shoot out kind of game play for me.
Simulators are great too but they can be really punishing at times.

By the way GOW:Judgement is superb, (I haven't played it but it seems like this is how we're doing it in this thread) a really thrilling repeat of the last entry which was a perfect replica of the one before that which was a mastery of imitation of the original one.
Seriously, GOW was a good game for a long while but it's kind of running on fumes now. I'll happily take GRFS MP over it.
Wait, NO, I was being sarcastic (did you see the part where I said I hadn't played it?). I was being facetious.Originally Posted by EvilPixieGrrr Go to original post
I haven't played Judgement. I really enjoyed gears of War2&3 SP and MP especially but I'm a bit burned out. Everything I've seen and heard of Judgement has made me continue with my decision to not play it. I mean I would if I had loads of time to play games but honestly, I'd rather keep playing Ghost Recon's MP.
As someone that has quite a history/love for the GOW franchise Judgement is pretty bad. I mean gameplay wise it's whatever; it still feels like gears although there are certain things I dislike. I dislike for instance the weapon/inventory system being moved from the d-pad to select weapons and grenades to the now all too standard two weapons (using the Y button to swap) and one button magic grenades. I also don't like the removal of Horde/Beast modes in favor of Survival which for all intents and purposes is flippin' horrible.Originally Posted by EvilPixieGrrr Go to original post
The campaign is good but short. All in all the game though feels like one last desperate attempt to cash in on the franchise before the jump to the next generation console. The game feels unfinished...and when I say unfinished I don't mean in a shoddy way I mean in a deliberate way; like the game was deliberately unfinished to accomodate for DLC and microtransactions so they can nickle and dime players. You can see proof in the weapon/character skins that can only be purchased and not unlocked (300+ MSP for ONE skin?!?).
I'm not that happy with the game overall.
So there's a big community backlash toward the Gears devs going on at the moment, because they released a stealth server-side update that changed all the weapons' power attributes and basically broke the game.
So there's another lesson learned: Don't slap the community in the face by lying to them and releasing stealth updates that make changes that no one asked for. Especially if it breaks the game.
Same thing DICE did with BF3 except they listen to the community, it still resulted in breaking the game lolOriginally Posted by Charity Diary Go to original post
