Hello there guys (and gals). Some quick questions as I am quite baffled and can't find out some why around it.
My specs:
- phenom II x4 965
- 9600 gt factory overclocked silent pipe IV sli
- 4 random gigs ddr 3 1300is
I know that it is quite old and I was not expecting to play this game on high details or anything like that.
The problem is that even on low settings I can barely hit 30is fps. That is quite strange as I can run Crysis 2 and Crysis 1 on Extreme/Very High with 35+ fps 90% of the time.
Currently running it on a custom profile - low everywhere +1440/900 res. Tried disabling the DOF but app that doesn't work for me?
The first scenes of the game are terrible for me. Running them with 25-28 fps. After that, in the jungle, things start to get a bit better but I think that there is still room for improvement.
I am no graphics wiz but both Crysis' look better and run better on a lot higher settings.
- I've updated all the drivers again (after uninstalling everything)
- patched the game
Is there a problem with drivers or I should just bail on this game? Too bad,I actually hoped of playing it.
Coming with a quick follow-up.
App, after I mingled a bit with the resolutions and switching from fullscreen to windowed and forcing in the nvidia panel no aspect ratio scaling for applications, my fps almost doubled.
I still have the DOF disabled(?), playing at 1440/900, a combination between (high/very high/ultra), and my fps is now somewhere around 45-64 fps depending on what I am currently doing. In some areas it goes over 70.
Just wanted to share that with you. Maybe it has something to do with how the game scales its resolutions. I think nvidia cards have a problem with that? I don't know.
