Your negativity is something that's for sure. "time to pull the plug" ..are you serious? This game has been out for a mere 2 1/2 months. I think this patch is a decent size step in the right direction. As long as they continue to use our feedback to make changes like these then i'm happy.

the only gripe i have is, why did it take so long to announce this? I mean i hope at least some players will return, but most have gone...their not gonna buy the game back for these changes. They should of released this weeks ago imo (we know vex had notes), when the game and forum was busier.

The other major thing is of course...when?
If the way its been run thus far is anything to go by, we may not hear for weeks...then when we do..it could be another month down the line.

Overall, im happy with the update, but i truly hope its not gonna stop here...because at the end of the day, this isnt enough to get the hordes back imo

I wanted to point out that the notes never say that this is all part of one update (v 1.05). It says that these are some upcoming things that they are working on for future updates.

I have to agree. Unless they address public lobbies and map rotation, to me it's just too little too late.

Every other Far Cry game has had map rotation and public lobbies.

FC3 is the first one that eliminates map rotation, and only allows you to host your own maps via private match. In other words, they took what wasn't broken, and broke it.

This patch is absolutely USELESS to me.

As many have stated, none of the more important aspects of multiplayer have been addressed/patched.

It's almost impossible for me to get in a game of TDM b/c of the loading screen bug/poor match making, whatever you want to call it.

Not given credit for level XP or gun XP time and time again. I've been shorted well over 100k level XP and God only knows how much weapon xp.

But hey, at least we can use the map editor more effectively? Haha, what a complete failure of a game.

I just think that IS a step in the right direction, not the opposite. And as long as the updates don't end here we should try to be optimistic. I should also say unlike many/most of people on this forum, I did not play FC2 so i am not comparing

    Lol

Maybe they can fix all the game breaking glitches they have had since release.

Go back and play some FCIP or FC2. I'm not saying that to be rude or anything - those games were a lot of fun to play, and more people are starting to go back to those games. You can get both of those games pretty cheap nowadays - especially FCIP.

The biggest problem is that there is a lack of communication from Ubisoft. It would be one thing if they told us they were working on these issues, but so far they haven't really said anything. In the past, we've had to wait up to 6 months for some issues to be addressed. If we knew that they were going to fix the lobby or map rotation issue, then it would be easier to live with. But not knowing if they're even going to bother to fix these issues, makes it much more difficult.

Put yourself in the shoes of someone who has been a fan of this franchise since the very first Far Cry Instincts game on the original Xbox, many years ago. Imagine how you'd feel if the developers took away a feature that you had grown accustomed to, one that was vitally important to you as a mapmaker?

Imagine how COD or Halo fans would feel if the developers suddenly took away the matchmaking system, and gave them something that would be outdated even on the original Xbox?

I actually have FC2, enjoyed the campaign, but never got in to MP. If i gave it chance now, i probably wouldn't be able to get past the outdated graphics. Hell i couldn't even go back to Bad Company 2 after i tried BF3 cause of graphics. Also the problems that you all have with FC3 MP, The game breaking ones, I don't have them. I'm not bragging or anything. But i guess i've just been lucky
