The official protest campaign to release Rayman Legends on Wii U now.

Dear ubisoft higher ups and developers.

This recent move you made not only upset many gamers, but also hurt Wii U owners some of whom bought the system just for this game. I was one of many fans who wanted a Wii U to play this game and when you pull this unnecessary move, which is why as this Saturday, I have gone on a hunger strike to protest your recent decision to delay the Wii u version until September and will not eat until you reconsider your plans and release the game on February 26 regardless.

Oh, and I'm not moved by that exclusive demo you've got coming. We do not want another demo, we want the actual game right away. I'm sure a lot of fans will agree with me on this one.

Also, there was a recent petition to release the Wii u version on its original release date and as of this writing, it has gotten over 4,000 signatures meaning there are lots of fans demanding you reconsider. Here's the link. http://www.change.org/petitions/ubis...-for-the-wii-u

You are not fooling us fans, Ubisoft. Unless you change your plans, my hunger strike will continue. And deleting this thread will just tell us you don't care.

And fans, if you are with me, please sign on this thread and on the petition link. It's the only way we can force Ubisoft to reconsider.

    Thank you.

Hunger strike - if you're really doing it - isn't the way to go, you'll just hurt yourself.

Not buying another Ubisoft title in the future is the right action. That will hurt. It pains me since in my opinion Ubisoft makes some of the best games in the industry, but also I will not tolerate the way they are treating their loyal customers. It's completely unacceptable and so I will sever my consumer relationship with them starting the day Rayman Legends should be on the shelves but isn't.

If it is about Microsoft, no Microsoft port then, just PS3. This should be easy enough even for the men with the ties to understand. But they think people aren't serious, they will by Ubisoft games in the future. Can you take the risk? I wouldn't.

Ubisoft, Why now? The game is finished and people are anticipating its release this month. Nobody wants a second demo, they want the game. Please check out the petition and all the fans that want to play your game, if that doesn't persuade the company, I don't know what will.

    To Ubisoft developers and Yves.

I've now gone without solid food for 24 hours now and I'm not eating until you reconsider and release Rayman Legends on the Wii U on its February 26 release date regardless. Even if it means I starve to death.

Oh, and by the way, the official petition on Change.org now has over 7000 signatures. Here's proof: http://www.change.org/petitions/ubis...-for-the-wii-u

It's not too late to reconsider, Yves.

Maybe so, but we can't just give now can we? They'll have to listen and answer soon. They have to.

More efforts are needed such as campaigns, petitions, etc. in order to succeed.

I hope for one reason that the Wii U edition will be released early and that is for the game not to be stressed when transferred to the PS3 and X360. Nintendo messed up the launch for the Wii U and its lack of playable titles and now also seemingly lost a crucial "exclusive title" to fill the gap. That is just plain bad marketing =O
