OK, so I start off helping the Reke...Natives, then I end up working with the pirates. However, if I take a base from the pirates, it reverts to native control.
Question:
If I'm a pirate, can I take back friendly bases for the pirates?
If I attack the natives do I become their enemy?
If so, refer to question 1.
Can I switch sides...during the game/Post game?
Thank in advance for any help on this.
Otterbear.
Thanks for the help. ???
Yes, I know I'm undercover...but the natives don't know that.
Hence, the question. If I attack the natives, do they become my enemy?
I guess I'm just trying to figure out how to keep playing longer after winning the game.
I made the mistake of taking out all the enemy bases in my last game, and now I have nothing to do.
There are a few bases(?) where the pirates will re-spawn, but they never leave the area, so I can just wander all day with nothing to do but get more and more money.
I was hoping I could win back a few bases for the pirates, and then they would travel around in jeeps and such, and give me something to worry about. Then maybe I could try and take the bases back from them for the natives. ...and so on, and so forth.
In my current game, I have left most of the pirate bases alone, but this means that I cannot get the side missions to earn better weapons, and/or the necessary animal skins for improving my carrying capacity. It does give me more to do, but again, limits my equipment.
OK, I've already won the game. OK?Originally Posted by xRaDRoacHx Go to original post
I just wanted to have something to do in this HUGE world but apparently (once I destroy all the pirate bases), there is little left to do.
I THOUGHT that the point of the game CONTINUING after winning was to do SOMETHING? That was one of the BIGGEST selling points of this game.
Opsie.. Sorry.Originally Posted by Otterbear Go to original post
After the ending you can do everything.... but it's impossible to find enemies if you got all the outposts... You can collect the letters, memory sticks... etc... and it's BORING for me!
After the 10 minutes of free roam, i've left the game to play co-op an the crappy MP.
I didn't even got the 100% because i hate to collect useless crap plus there are no pirates and privateers....
You can attack the civilians and the rakyats if you want...
You can't change your role, since the rakyats are your main ally, even if you win the game...
^^ This guy is wrong.
There ARE enemys after completing the game.
1. At the airport
2. At the oil place (where you go to blow up stuff in that mission with the jeep)
3. Hoyts base
4. The base during the mission where vaas ties you to a rock and sends you down the cliff.. that base is always under pirate control
5. The sneaky sneaky mission base is under privateer control
There are also a few other spots dotted around which are still in control of the pirates and you can't just have massive fights (though you might have to leave the base and enter it again for them to respawn).
Bored? Shoot the rakyat, they will turn into an emeny and shoot you. I use them for target practise with the bow.
But in reality, i'm working through the game for a 2nd time and i'm leaving about 15 or so bases alone in every island so that I can have some fun.

You and I think alike. I don't normally chase the chickens, and/or worry about relics and the such, and whats the deal with the memory cards anyway? I got them all - for what?
You do need to find some of the relics and letters to get some of the special weapons though, - I think.
Thank you!Originally Posted by matonking Go to original post
This information is what I needed/suspected. I am working through the game again, and would LIKE to leave ALL the pirate bases alone. Unfortunately you CAN'T or you get none of the better weapons, and or side missions that give you the ability to carry ammo and the such. I had found most of the spawn points for pirates - Post game - but they don't go on patrol, so its a matter of running around until your bored and then going back and attacking them again.
Does the whole tribe turn against you? or just the person(s) that you are shooting at?Originally Posted by matonking Go to original post
Thanks again both or you for your help.
Only the group that you're attacking.Originally Posted by Otterbear Go to original post
