    Getting past the Giant Warrior

How does Jason get past the giant warrior (using the recurve bow & arrows) that rises after Citra has him drink the liquid from the small vial? I have tried it numerous times and get killed every time. Thoughts?

What would you use as the key word(s) to locate these threads?

You basically have to wait until he leans down to attack you. Avoid his attack and then fire as many arrows as you can at his face. At one point some other smaller monsters will come and chase you around. Once they you can melee them or use the bow, once they are dead, you will have to focus on the big guy again. It takes a while, just basically stay away until he bends toward you.

When the squid monster come up get to the left or right of the screen.
As he bends forward to spit his crap at you start moving to the opposite side of where you are and take pot shot at his eyes.
You'll usually fit 2 to 3 shots in before he straightens back up.
Wait at the sides for him to bend over spitting his crap at you again and do the same thing making your way to the opposite side popping off arrows at his eyes as you go.
What ever you do don't wait in the middle as you'll have nowhere to run to avoid his crap he spits and you end up running through his burning crap he just spat.
Keep doing this till you get the screen go dark and dark man type creatures start to come at you.
Use the mini map to see where the creatures are and time your melee as they get close enough, keep moving and side stepping to avoid them hitting you.
Reason I say use the mini map is because the f'n scene is to dark and it's to hard to see how close the f'n creatures are to you, which is just f'n annoying, real fun... NOT!

Next part is pretty much the same as the first part strategy wise, stay on one side of the map till the squid monsters starts to spit his crap again and then start moving to the opposite side while popping off shots at his eyes.
Lather, rinse, repeat till you get the prompt to run up his arm....

just like any boss battles, shoot shoot, dodge dodge dodge

    rinse and repeat

    it's not rocket science.

I had a number of immunity and healing syringes which helped. Keep moving though was the main thing. Just keep your eyes on the target so you know when to dodge an attack or make one yourself.

    You'll be well rewarded

Shoot it in the face. Then dodge the blue balls.

Wait until you get the wave of minions. Those were worse, IMO, that the demon thing. All I had were grenade arrows, which at close range hurt. I just back peddled and blasted them suckers. I've heard the knife works well here, but you may need certain skills activated and the Japanese blade first.

Second appearance of the demon, shoot it in the face and dodge the blue balls.

Sit back and enjoy the show. You get to see what you were really fighting.

    Getting past the ink monster

I appreciate all the feedback folks, but I still can not get past the creatures in the dark and it is getting very frustrating. Is there any way to set up God mode or unlimited health for this section so that I am able to get past it.

    Thanks for your input.

    A very frustrated McGoog

I would think so, but without using those types of "cheats", there are in game health injections that you can create and consume just before talking to Citra (or whenever the lock-in starts).

Yeah, those minions took me a few tries to get past. As I said mostly due to me blowing myself up with my grenade arrows that would not switch to normal. Eventually I think they actually worked well. Just gotta keep moving, which is going to be true with any weapon.

The injections (health and damage boosts) and skills will help you get through this. If you haven't leveled up enough to get these things, then you may need to level a little first.
