We can all agree on one thing….

I think we can all agree that Massive really effed this thing up and I’m sure it’s more complicated than that but there is no denying that most of the negatives in this game are Multiplayer based. I posted a thread in April asking Massive to not let their egos ruin this game and unfortunately it seems to be the case. They seemed to have an arrogance about what we needed and wanted instead of just listening to us. Instead they force team gameplay down our throats, take out vehicles, take out standard FPS modes like DM and CTF. Cancel the Beta, insist that they “know what is best for us”. Yet in the end they obviously had no clue what they were doing.

How is it possible that you played this game regularly and nobody noticed how terrible the lobby system was? Or that transmission felt too much like domination and that the transmission nodes needed to circulate faster. Or while capturing a node in FS thought “Wow it sucks that I can’t stop puncturing this barrel to kill the enemy who has been running at me for 8 secs but hasn’t seen me yet”. Or thought it was a good idea to not have DM or CTF? Or a way to search for authors of maps? Or a party system in a “Team Oriented” game??!

The answer unfortunately is Massive’s inexperience in the genre and it’s condescending mentality towards it’s players. Two things we all saw coming a mile away and no matter how vocal we were in the forums Massive was too busy telling us to eat our vegetables and take our vitamins.

Thanks Massive, I hope you learned your lesson.
    Now please fix our game.

Dedicated servers, host migration BS IS FOR LAZY DEVS.... But oh no wait, COD does it too... So its good!

You can hate on the idiot things Battlefield3 has done to get to CODS target audience but at least they have Dedicated servers!

Even if the fix the bugs and give the map creators their freedom back it is still a screwed up cod game for people who c'ant afford cod .
Their are way to much negative points to save it.

    -no vehicles
    -no ammo boxes
    -no stationary guns
    -cod spawn on maps
    -objects vanish to fast
-you cant place that much on grid
    - no explosions ( only the boring barrels)
    -mp is cod
    -mp hardly work
    -infinite loading
-no lobbys for custom map rotation
-.......... ( this is boring but their are more negative points)
    - you cant see downloads of a map

Unfortunately, this isn't the first time the developers have adopted an arrogant attitude towards us.

If you recall with FC2, one of the stated reasons for only giving us a paltry handful of game modes was the developers didn't think the mapmaking community could handle more than a few basic modes.

Obviously they had never bothered playing Far Cry Predator or Instincts to see just what the mapmaking community was capable of.

It's like each new Far Cry developer doesn't even bother checking with the community or what worked well with previous games.

    guys,

the team have said the reasons why certain things are not in the game, such as vehicles etc, so no amount of ranting about how the 'effed' up will change things, unless they have plans too.

If you have feed back to give the game, then please post it in the pinned threads - rant threads slating the dev team - are not constructive feedback.
