Unparalled single player experience, was MP ever playtested?

Just wonder how, atleast in my experience, they could put out one the most fun and enjoyable single player games I have played the last twenty years, rarely a gitch, yet also put out such a mess on a MP game. I think I answered my own question. The focus was rightfully on perfecting the single player and MP feels tacked on and not tested thoroughly enough before being released. I think I would enjoy the MP if some of the bugs were cleaned up but its obvious if there is only a 1000 players online now, a few months a release, it will only further slip into oblivion. A missed opportunity. All in all though, the single player was enormously entertainly, took my time and took probably a month to play through. Best sandbox shooter I ever played, is Far Cry 4 ever been mentioned? My few cents worth......

Without a doubt the best same box shooter of all time. Almost all FC3 Fans are Open World Gamers so instead of a linear campaign COOP mode they should have made a Free Roam open world multiplayer mode in the huge world of the singleplayer map, then all would have been satisfied.....well at least if The COD MP wouldn't be bugy....

I feel like we are all testing the multiplayer at this point in time. It plays just like a beta! LOL

The beta was canciled, gave a free map pack out instead to ghost recon. It sucked too.
Go figure, it's only getting worse every **** game, instead of better.

Why did people EXPECT anything other than a tacked on multiplayer from this game? This is one of those games that should have put all of its resources in to the singleplayer, instead of wasting money just to get the multiplayer bullet point on the back of the box.

If they would have just stuck to single player and forgot about a MP option that would have been fine for most. But I bought it for both single and MP! What a waste of money! THRIZZLE is right, it is just like playing a beta! Some days I get in to a MP game the rest of the time it is stuck at the loading point! Like today I can only play on Gold Maps...That suck! Voice is awful!! I wish I could get a refund -_-!! It had a great potential to be a fun MP game but I guess we will never know... Sigh...

I'm gonna go the opposite of the general sentiment on "what this game should have been".

I couldn't give a crap less about the Single Player in Far Cry.
I've owned all the FC titles (except Wii) and i have NEVER PLAYED THE SINGLE PLAYER. I only play FC because of the map editor for multiplayer. All I want out of a FC title is to make my own maps, load them up and play them online along side the maps that other players have made.

I'd pay double the price for a game that had a well polished map editor (like the one in FC Instincts with some new features and more options) that integrated well with the online multiplayer... and NOTHING ELSE.

I bought this game for the map editor. I don't see what the big deal is on the sp. There's nothing really new about it everything that you can do has already been done on red dead redemption 4 years ago

probably the usual story of all the last great games: great designers, great programmers, they're up to something big but they need more time to finish it off. greedy companies want their invested money back fast, so they force the game to be early released. tons of advertisement+already existing fanbase= tons of sales anyway, even more so since it was christmas time. Now they got your money, they couldn't care less if it's broken. Perhaps they will 'care' only if they have in mind a rip-off DLC (which should have just been part of the game in the first place) to squeeze some extra money out.

i think something around 90% or more of main games are owned by these huge companies, so once they have the monopoly on this type of market, they can do whatever they want. Same as pretty much every other industrial product in our generation.
