PLZ change the SKIP MAP system !
When I start a voting it will be announced direct under the who killed who tab.
So noone see that I want to skip a map.
The important problem is NOONE KNOWS how to skip a map.
The secound important problem is that it is not shown when other people wants to skip a map also.
There should be a direct note " SOMEONE WHATS TO SKIP THIS MAP"
and a futured hint.."2/8 Players wants to skip this map"
I realy dont wanne waste my time on and on on the same map.
I dont wanne play Maps with Vehicles, flat areas or 10000 explosive.
I want a clear and open voting system to skip a bad map aslong I cant host my fav. maps in a nice rotation.
A CLEAR AND OPEN VOTE TO SKIP SYSTEM WOULD HELP US.
When a game is created 80% of the development crew are laid off the day the game ships out. Imagine 8/10 chances that the person perfect for patching this into the game for you are now working on another title with another company already. How many developers of this actually play this daily and care the way you do? Probably none. The remaining development team are the top dogs and they are genuinely busy. They have plans for DLC im sure but how much DLC depends on worldwide sales of this game. Its my opinion that what they dont want to have to do is hover here when new amazing games and what is next is where the new amazing money is next. Games get abandoned look at far cry 1 and 2 why would the formula change now? Keep posting downer complainer threads because im sure thats whats going to mobilize these actions you want... My other opinion is and I should keep this one but, THIS is probably why you never see your maps played! Isnt this your 3rd or 4th complaint thread? I think you picture the far cry 3 team all sitting at the round table throwing money in the air, laughing their asses off and being lazy. lol not attempt to tear down my grammar and ask me where I get my information... **** **
Your points are valid but so are the OP's, just for the wrong reasons.Originally Posted by j0hnnyr0tten Go to original post
A better voting system would be a nice thing, but if a map isn't cutting it for anybody just hold it out to the end of the game - and give the map some negative feedback. Or quit the game if you're truly impatient, although I would always strongly suggest leaving poor feedback to help the playlist system which is very bad at the moment with such a large amount of poor maps being published and hurting the bronze playlist. Give it 6 months and it should be much better.
I think the system is fine. Great maps get finished and that is when the Rate Vote prompt happens. Consequently, great maps get Rate Votes and they surface faster than bad ones.
As for Skip Voting, I don't need to know when someone else wants to vote to skip, unless I want to vote to stay. (but it really shouldn't matter) By default, if I didn't vote to skip, than I am voting to stay by playing. I am glad it is on the side where it doesn't bother my gameplay. (I actually wish there was little to no HUD)
I think it makes more sense to just tally the number of Skip Votes, and if it exceeds a certain amount of the players, than move to the next one. There is no reason, everyone needs to stop playing and vote just because someone doesn't know how to have a good time.
Something I would like to discuss about voting that seems strange is how I hate re-voting on maps I have favorited. If it is on my favorites, please find a better way than to ask me constantly to vote.
lmao I bet someone $100 that whoever replied to what I said would quote my entire post. way to go
edit: I have been playing Far Cry since April 2004 and this is just all par for the course. This forum the whole thing is one big basket designed to catch all this negative feedback and they dont read it why would they? Do you watch world news 3 times a day? No because its sad as hell. SOMEDAY tho when they go to begin planning far cry 4 someone will say "maybe we should check the forums to read what the people want in the next game?" and another one goes NAAAAAAAAAAAAAA and all laugh. (clink) ...wow I am just entertaining myself now. Here is another way to look at this, it is already the number one shooter of 2012 why do they need to bother improving anything at all? To their bosses I am sure it is golden the way it is. word
Im sorry, have I upset you? I'm confused because whilst you are correct (and $100 richer) - I did quote your entire post - is that a problem? I quite the entire post of every person. Unless I am highlighting a very specific point. But I responds to your entire post, and also said you make valid points. I did not contest your choice of words. I also did not contest the OP, the idea of a better voting system would be nice, and my feedback of voting for a map at the end of a game was targeted at the OP.Originally Posted by j0hnnyr0tten Go to original post
