This is a thread for people to post their, hmm, 'experiences', of maps they have played in Bronze Playlist. If you play a particularly well made or fun map, think about posting a short review of it so that others can find the map and play it for themselves. Maybe there's a map you played that was quite good but needed some tweaks? Well, you could post about that too. Remember to get the names right!
You can also post about any bizarre maps that you play on your adventures.
A screenshot or two would be great to give a quick at-a-glance idea of the map (the 'tutorial' view is good for this).
Don't bother with the body bags! I mean, don't bother with the bad maps! They don't need any publicity!

No posting of your own maps in this thread! There's threads for that already, or people tend to post a thread for their own maps.
However, if you would like someone to review your map here, post a short message with the map name and maybe someone will do so.

IMPORTANT: please put the format you are playing on in the post title [360/PC/PS3] along with the maps name (advanced reply post).
This definitely falls into the bizarro map category.
The gameplay takes place inside a thick and dark wood in the middle of a storm. It's definitely got a bit of atmosphere and you can't see the sky unless you turn your head upwards. I'm not quite sure if there's any point to it or it's just meant to be gruesome and creepy, but there are a lot of dead dudes in this wood. It's kind of like walking around a waxwork exhibition. I hope it's not any kind of racist thing.
[Incidentally, the famous western town of Deadwood rose to prominence around this time, so maybe it is something to do with that]
But anyway, there's a lot of dead dudes lying around or hanging from trees. What this means gameplay wise is that you can stand completely still and have enemy players walk right past you without noticing you. It's kind of hilarious for a while. If you take a shotgun or a silenced weapon you can kill them without anyone noticing
The map could be kind of cool but unfortunately all the tree roots are raised far too high and this means it's quite hard to get around some areas. Also, as mentioned, it's generally kind of weird and creepy and that doesn't lend itself to being 'fun'.
rating: 2/5 / maybe someone can improve upon these ideas in a new map?
I`ve played a few maps with those swamp roots used. Thing is they were`nt used sparingly; they were all over the dam map...lol. so annoying. You`d think those makers would of tested the map and realised that walking five feet and having to jump all the time isn`t fun. People were just bunny hopping all over....it was funny for about 5 seconds. Maybe they were going for the COD experience....budum tish!
Abandoned Airport V1 - Xbox 360
Sorry, no screenshots here! This was a map I played on the Silver playlist for Xbox 360. Pretty nice map, the map is what it says on the tin. The map layout and object detail were pretty basic, but buildings and overall layout were nice. The gameplay was mostly on the outer edge of the map in the buildings, although there was some cover in the centre of the map. But there were deadly snipers including myself in the lobby and it simply wasn't safe for anybody to step out there.
My feedback would be to add some more spawns. It felt slightly predictable and I did catch many flankers with some no-scopes because I subconsciously adapted to the spawn system on the map and knew when and where I was getting flanked from.
Also work on the terrain. With quite a few buildings - I needed to jump into the doorway, because the building wasn't placed properly. But an object doesn't always have to go with the terrain, sometimes the terrain needs to be adjusted to go with the object. Especially in this case. The terrain behind the building didnt meet the height of the doorway, whereas on the front of the building, the doorway was perfect, because it was lined up with the airport runway object being used as the floor instead of terrain.
I'd also add plenty more cover and detailed objects around the map to give people cover. Especially on one side of the map where there were three of those large cylinder objects with the steps going around them. Because it was far too exposed in between them. Great work though, I really enjoyed the map and wish to see the tweaks to perfect it!
