The problem is not P2P itself, you guys already played other P2P games that dont have this issues, they try to rip off the Cod system, wich doesnt need to rent servers, only one server based on the dev for the users profiles and playlists, the diference is, the P2P of Cod works as intended, and the P2P of Ubisoft doesnt work at all, it cant Handle migrations, doesnt chose host by quality(Giving the Host unfair advantage because is connection cant handle to much players), doesnt select region and most of the time loses connection by itself.
Sure that we all agreed that server browser and DS are far better than P2P, but if they learn how to built a proper P2P system, in the end it not that bad was it is now.
