Just bought Far Cry 3 today from Amazon. Was only given one activation code which I used to start game. When I finally got on-line to Access the Deluxe content it asked for a code and I put the same one in. Then it tells me that code was already used!! How do I get the right code for the bonus content?
I was also misguided by this crappy activation system.
In my case, I bought the game on Steam and activated it on Uplay with the code provided.
And then suddenly I thought "hey, where the heck with my deluxe edition contents!?"
Trying to activate the deluxe edition with the same code and I got an error saying the code was already in use.
In fact, the deluxe edition was actually activated when you first activated the game itself.
Try zooming out the map as far as possible. If you see an icon of monkey face somewhere on the map, it means your deluxe edition was activated.
(it's an icon for the bonus mission "Monkey Business")
Or, if you receive a customized sniper rifle (M-700 Predator Rifle) during the early phase of the game, it's also one of deluxe edition contents.
Hey, I did this exact thing, I used the deluxe code to activate my game. How'd you fix it? I tried the questions area in support but its been a while and no one's gotten back to meOriginally Posted by justwinkosack Go to original post
Looking at the steam forums there are millions of us missing our deluxe content. I bought the deluxe pack from Gamersgate and activated the key on uplay fine; But after a reformat of my harddrive and new install of uplay my deluxe pack is no longer available.
Reentering my key I now get the message that the code is already in use. Of course it is, it's been used by me.
I have put in a ticket, but the word is, don't expect any response this side of 2013. I hope that's not true.
Having the same issue, but on top of that, the rewards are not working either, I unlocked the hand cannon and just five minutes ago redeemed the testing unit mission, neither appear in the game, so it's not just the deluxe bundle content, so something must have really messed up server side. So hopefully, this means the servers just need to be resync'd, which Ubi could probably do fairly easily if they looked at it.
