    Has Multiplayer Got Harder?

Hey guys, I'm new to the forums

I was just wondering if any of you guys have experienced the same thing as me. I got Farcry 3 for christmas and decided to play the mutliplayer.

I started out with the first gun you get - the STG 90 or whatever it is called and it was helping me do really well. Not often would I have a kill to death ratio of less than 3.

Recently however after hitting around level 26 my guns just seem insufficient and it's like unless I'm shooting someone in the back I'll never win the fight. I even went to YouTube to see what other people used and even changed my guns around to the MP5 which initially I thought had helped but I'm still stuck getting scores like 7-6 etc. barely going even.

Maybe I'm more confident than I used to be so I'm running out and getting killed? What is your guys view on this, has the mutliplayer got harder for you?

I haven't noticed anything getting harder, no. Perhaps even the opposite...

It could actually be lag. I do disconnect quite often from this game, maybe when I first played 'lag' was playing to my advantage but now I'm affected by it? I don't know, but as hard as a try to get consistent positive scores it just doesn't happen anymore.

It's lag for me because aim assist never locks on anymore. I experimented yesterday turning aim assist on and off. not much different with an edge to leaving it off.

Well if you are going kills over deaths then someone is going deaths over kills. The game isnt getting harder, the people around you are just getting better. Also if you havent been playing and other people are leveling up their guns/mods then they do have an advantage, so it would be harder for you. But we cant all go kills over deaths, someone has to loose.

I know, but it was such a sudden curve. One day after playing far cry 3 and destroying only the day before my STG 90 seemed a pile of sh*t. Everyone was looking and killing me faster than I could kill them. Half of it is probably me being not as good but I have had a fair share of quality games killing higher levelled people than myself. It just sucks now, my KD was like 2.7 and now it's all the way down at 2.01 and I'm not playing the game again because it all just seems too unstable.

There's aim assist in the multiplayer?! *Facepalm* Now I feel stupid.

I don't think the aim assist does anything. I turned it on and there was no obvious lock on.

I too thought everyone was just locking onto me and that's why I was sucking but apparently not. I guess it just slows your sensitivity as your aim crosses over an enemy. That's what aim assist generally means

Yeah. Turn it on with a friend in a private match to see what it does. Have him walk across your screen (including your hip sights). You'll see it move slightly. More pronounced the closer he gets.

It's better to turn it off IMO, it can help in very close quarters with shotguns and such but for the most part it screws me up when I try to aim carefully because it mucks up the predictable gun sway.
