I like the building frames thing and even tried to do something like that at first but the draw distance wasn't sufficient for what I wanted to do. I have however learned of many other items that I could use to do it now that I have spend a tons more time in the editor.Originally Posted by TheRealDrewdelz Go to original post

As long as descriptions of player fun can keep coming, I can get a good idea of what everyone enjoys doing! Thank you!Originally Posted by DarkRashoumon Go to original post
From what I can see on the pics and the vids (can't play your map since i'm on PS3) it looks very realistic and huge, but I think it's like the guy above said, too complex and chaotic for a game mode like Team Deathmatch. Ofcourse I can't know for sure, since this opinion is only based on the pictures i see. Looks very nice though!![]()
You never know, it might popup on the PS3...Originally Posted by johnbeton1985 Go to original post
Also, thank you! I spent a lot of time making it immersive.
The level is still large but the area between objectives is much smaller than the original OA. Also the spawns help keep the game near the base of Pride Rock where the Power Plant is so it comes together well. I think the maps playable area occupies about 3 total grids, but the surrounding areas of detail extend beyond that pretty far since you can climb towers and look out into the distance.Originally Posted by Leadstorm76 Go to original post
The original OA was HUGE! like 8-9 grids.
thank you! I mentioned why above, and I also like to use forced perspective to build miniatures along the horizon line to make the world feel even larger. I didn't do that on this one but Powder Keg for FC2, and Launch Code (which isn't released yet) use this technique.Originally Posted by johnbeton1985 Go to original post
I keep trying to enter these maps into competitions early hoping that some of the technique will rub off on the community. It is still early in the games life cycle and I would love to get players and mappers thinking about the Full Service of a map. It needs to have something for everyone. This also includes small customs, layout, and polish of course.
You are all too kind!
Holy Cow! Oil Arsenic II is being considered for GOLD!
If you like the map, get over to the GOLD VOTE THREAD before the 28th and give me a vote.![]()
