Far Cry 3 - Very Slow Startup Time (Loading for 20 Minutes) | Forums

Hello guys.

So, I got Far Cry 3 for Christmas, yay, but the thing is, it takes 20 minutes for the game to load.
I start Far Cry 3, then it just sits there, flickering the guns for 20 minutes straight.
I even times it, it pretty much takes 20 minutes exactly.

Now people have been saying it's a connection issue but I find that very hard to believe since it takes 20 minutes all the time.

I have a Gigabyte GTX 560 Ti, with the latest drivers, an i5 2500k 3.3 GHz. The game is also installed on a 2TB Seagate Barracuda 7200rpm.
I do have a very fast SSD as well. So I've tried to install it there as well and check if it was possibly the hardware that was being slow. But that was not the case either.

Anywho, do anyone know why this is happening?
I can live with waiting 20 minutes to play the game. But it's quite a pain in the butt if I just want to go for a quick match of Team Deathmatch.

Its a shame you didnt get an answer to this.
I have the same problem except mine takes about 1 minute. Like you my PC spec is quite high and I even have a 60MB broadband from Virgin Media.

If anyone else has had this problem let me know how to fix it. Thatd be awesome
