The following changes should be made for Far Cry 4
1. Everything is destroyable and when a bridge or hut is damaged, it stays damaged for the entire game, including trees, terrain, vehicles, etc.
2. There are a fixed amount of vehicles. When one is in the ditch, you need to find a pulley system to pull it out yourself. If it is broken down, you fix it or must find parts for it.
3. Eliminate all stores. Have it where the player must find his equipment. For special items, have a quest created. Crates hold ammo, larger mags for a weapon, silencer for a specific weapon, parts of a map, treasure maps like it was done in Red Dead Redemption, scopes, etc.
4. Eliminate money. There is nothing better than having your favourite weapon run out of ammo and you are forced to use that AK 47 laying on the ground or to whip out your Colt 1911.
5. The map stays blank until you explore. Remove maps that reveal location of items. Maps should only display terrain, roads, and main structures for a small area of playing field.
6. Bring in a fame rating where as you do good things for the population, they help you. But if you are seen burning down a crop field, then they start to hate you which leads to them eventually attacking you on site.
7. Story line. You are the brother to a CIA agent who is lost, prisoner, dead ??? in a jungle island setting. You load up with weapons and fly in a plane from one of 4 directions. You must land at the air port with your gear. The trick is you fly through AAA fire (scattered throughout the island(s)) which if you are unlucky, you must bail out of your plane with only your Colt 1911 .45 and a machete. If you are lucky, you do land your plane with your equipment. Either way, your quest to rescue your brother begins. Or is your brother dead in which case, your revenge begins. The thing is you do not know the fate of your brother.
8. Story line. 2 factions are on the island(s) fighting to become the new president. Every time you play a new game, the faction that has your brother changes. You must find clues (tapes) left by your brother scattered throughout the land to determine what has gone on.
9. Story line. Helping one faction makes your friends with them, but enemies to the others as your missions usually is to help defeat the other factions. The problem is that the faction you are helping could be the faction that has your brother or has killed your brother.
10. Story line. If a mission ends up in a loss where your are defeated, but did not die, let the story continue on with the consequences of your failure being left behind.
11. An explosion, every now and again, will cause dismemberment.
12. Keep the crafting of animals, plants, skill trees, finding Japanese letters. Relics should be less numerous, but they give you a power for a short period of time.
13. When a soldier is behind a building, you do not see his outline any more. Or at least have this as an option to turn off or on.
14. As you explore, when you are within a certain distance of an item, then it appears on your map. Or if in a glider, when you have a clear line of site to the item. ie: flying over it.
15. Story line. For faction soldiers, have a finite number that increase depending on the amount of villages, towns, farms, that they control. The 2 factions are at war with each other and are gaining control of the land, via the help of the player. So as they control more land, then more soldiers are recruited. If you ally yourself with the faction that has your brother and you help that faction take over the entire island(s), then you end up having to defeat a massive army.
I would love it if my story line was used or even a few suggestions. Either way, I love the Far Cry series. Far Cry 3 is my favourite FPS game.
I really love that Idea.Originally Posted by mhardy66 Go to original post
