Well I hope this helps some of the FarCry Pc Crashes

Okay when i first installed Farcry 3 it ran for about 1hr and crashed ,then it kept crashing randomly ie 1hr or 5mins etc etc . So then I made sure had all the latest drivers for everything, still crashes then I reformatted clean install windows 7 64bit still crashed randomly, then the painfull task of trying to work out what was causing the crash sooo,
I then reformatted again this time just motherboard drivers and Nividia drivers.. Oh my system is Gigabyte G1 Assasin 2 rev 1,16gig of Corsair Dominator Gt 2133mhz and an Intel
socket 2011 3930k running all at default speeds and last Asus DirectCU II Top graphics again at default speeds , I never overclock no need to....

So as I was saying I reformatted again about 5 more times with windows 7 64bit sp1 and twice with windows xp sp3 and once with crappy vista lol .. I would like to point out that in
reformatting so many times i was still getting random crashes and I went and brought 3 new ssd and different ram the ssd i tried was ocz vertex 4 drives and Intel 520 ssd and still random crashes i tried everything on this forum site all the tweaks and latest downloads and different registry tweaks etc etc I even tried with ms updates and without ms updates

tried so so many different combos over a period of 7 days kept reading on this foum site for different ideas but nothing worked ,I even declocked my ram to 1333mhz and my cpu to
3ghz i tried just one stick of ram in different slots nothing keeps crashing tried without sound drivers ,jessus i tried everthing trust me... then early yesterday morning I thought I would try and declock my graphics card and then BAM: Farcy Cry 3 has been running now for 12hrs non stop and have restared the game on and off over a period of another 4hrs
and no freez and crashing and then my son jumped on the computer and played for another 8hrs and no crashes or anything ....

By the way my graphics cards default clock is GPU 1201 and Memory Clock 6008 so I dropped it down to 1061 GPU and Memory to 5698 and the game runs sweet it really does
so I hope my experience helps someone here on this forums ,I have had trouble from day one with Farcry great game .. the only thing is Ive had this system now for 8mnths and
its the first time after playing soo many games that i had to do this to my gfx card ???? still the game needs **** loads of more patches , anyway I hope I could help someone tonight

Just try and declock your graphics card down and see what happens , maybe i just have a faulty graphics card ???... god the pain of testing out different drivers and trying to nut out whats causing the problem and sooo many reformats aaarrggghhhhhh

This must be great news for some.

And bad news for those who thinks that overcloscking is the way to go.

Still - I admire you for your persistence.

I shouldnt have to underclock lower than stock to get the game to work and neither should you.
