So far it's looking real good on the syringes. Like the mix of plants. Finally get to use alot more of the white I have built up. The better syringes takes a ton more to make. When I run low I have to make a special run. If I want to keep some on plants on hand to craft on the fly I have to watch out or I overload my inventory quick.Originally Posted by karmakgb Go to original post
While I agree that I would like there to be second-island specific crafting, given the way the game is made this just isn't possible. At least, it isn't possible without artificial mission/tower restrictions of the sort I'm trying to get rid of. IF (I stress... IF) we could add new animal types to the game and make them only spawn on the second island... that would be a way to do it.Originally Posted by WmHilton Go to original post
Of course, then I would also insist on unlocking the second island (which I have done in my own game). Freedom is the key to a game like this. For instance, you had the freedom to make unlocking all the gear a top priority. Someone else might not have unlocked all the gear until halfway through the SECOND island, for various reasons. I don't want to double the number of skins JUST to make it take longer. Grind for its own sake is poor design, I think.
That said, I do like your idea in principle and, if we ever get the capability, I'd love to make this mod truly deeper. It may be a small thing but I think it changes the game in a big, if subtle, way.
Great! Like I said, I don't use syringes much myself so its difficult to know how the recipes feel without feedback. Hopefully, the skin price tweaks (boar, in particular) smooths out the hunting experience. I brought down tiger price by $50 and the leopard/bear price by just a little, so the high end skins aren't SO much more than the others but still worth it. Boar got halved, I think, from $50 to $25. Again, the feedback is priceless, so thanks. So far it's looking real good on the syringes. Like the mix of plants. Finally get to use alot more of the white I have built up. is posible to make enemies appear double amount?, the enemies in the island are few, if they call reinforcement, you just fire the laucher and kill them all, and the fun stop, please, is there a way the make the enemies re-spawn a lot, or at least when call reinforcement, they double the amount?, thx!
How about try using different methods when it comes to enemies. Instead of using the launcher use something else. Try hiding and taking out reinforcements with a knife or something slow and loud to alert even more enemies. Put up a roadblock and set up an ambush. You can easily change your experience by adjusting your play style.Originally Posted by internet001 Go to original post
Lately I have been going unsilenced and using lower tier less powerful loud weapons to mix it up. I have found I am getting waves of enemies pouring in. I also waited longer or strategically have taken out flag outposts to where I still run across a good fair amount of enemies while I explore and loot to make the game more interesting. Now I am to the point where I have collected all I can from island one and will completely liberate it and focus on island 2.
I would certainly consider increasing spawns slightly (maybe 3 to a patrol instead of 2) and I think it would be a good idea if there were a couple more soldiers at spawn points as well but, as with skill points, I don't think we have that knowledge (yet). Hopefully, everything is decoded someday but we're not there yet and I don't know if it will happen.Originally Posted by internet001 Go to original post
Definitely more could be done to increase the realism and immersion, though.
In the meantime, Epic_Nemesis makes a good suggestion to change your playstyle a bit. Try different weapons and more/less stealth. Or set some traps before going loud, etc. Just for fun.
Until we can increase spawn rates and amounts we are left to the hardest difficulty and changes in play style to make it harder or just to change things up. Probably the most fun I had was simply by changing up to different ways of taking out enemies. From road blocks to sneaking in at night setting c4 everywhere and waiting just for the right moment to detonate. I remember waiting 30 minutes and sneaking about to get 4 guys lined up perfectly for a multiple head shots with one round. Another thing I enjoyed doing is louring animals into camps. Get them to approach me and get them close to camps and just before they attack me use a syringe to keep them from attacking and they run right by into the camp. Took a camp that way without a shot fired. Paradrops/gliders can make things interesting. Arrow artillery bombing from a distance is fun too. Just use your imagination.Originally Posted by karmakgb Go to original post
