1st Review Cargo by Chickie13 on the PS3
This is an evolution from my Maps Worth Playing series.
Anyone is welcome to submit for review on the following understanding:
A map submitted will be considered 'good to go' at that point, no resubmissions after I've spent an afternoon making a video of it!
I can personally only check out PS3 maps, for other platforms, I'm happy to re-use video if the owner grants permission, if you have no facility to record then enrol at http://battlemap.net/forum where someone will record some video for you (as time permits)
I will always endeavour to present a map in the best light, I will choose suitable music and or commentary as I see fit, I will include submitters music if they can prove non-copyright protected material. I will do my best to make a map look as good as I can make it, ie within my own editing capabilities.
I can, on average, do about 3-4 reviews a week, please allow time for submissions to be recorded and time given for review etc.
Feedback on a review is not essential, but very much appreciated, to do a good video takes several hours, me having to chase a submitter for feedback is less likely to be appreciated and will place the submitter at the bottom of any future list!
And serve 'em right to I say!
some maps may be covered with MP gameplay, some may be through a 'flyover' type video, the choice will be dependant on my time and ease of getting a game set up for MP review
Lastly, please don't use the thread/service just for your video, comment on other peoples maps, it helps keep the thread alive!
ps another lastly, some feedback on our teaser would be great
Thanks to yoz303 and Akilyoung for their help!
Hi, yeah I can only do PS3, however if you go to bettlemap.net someone will record some video for us to useOriginally Posted by StriboPMQ Go to original post
Hey to all,
I've just looked through all of MuddledMuppet's map reviews on YouTube and gotta thank the guy for such a great job. I was massively into the map builder on FC2 and as I think with many of us, have been pretty disappointed with FC3's offering, but hey this is where all the FC big guys are gaming at the moment.
If you remember Pacific Coast as well as I do from FC2, MM has uploaded a vid review of a remake that's been made by the original author for FC3. If anyone wants a go at that on MP, give me a shout because I am raring to have a go on that. From the vid review alone, it looks like the remake has been refined well considering we can no longer use vehicles to get around
I have so far got around to making 4 maps on the new FC, but I would say only 1 that I'm quite happy with so far. It's a small map I have randomly called Cluster, but I tried planning this map out in a way that allows any type of weapon to be used. Give us a shout if anyone wants a battle! Cheers
@MM: After all your great work with your vid reviews, would be cool to hear your feedback about this map here, even if you don't have the time to consider it for a vid.
Unfortunately Pacific Coast on FC2 performed very badly compared to the original pacific coast on Far Cry Instincts Predator (but it did look nice)Originally Posted by Coolskin8 Go to original post
The original map had zip lines and JetSki's / ATVs and a Transport Truck that worked like a battering ram and knocked the other vehicles out of the way, it was a really fast paced map and fun to play where on FC2 it was a snipe fest - the difference was that the original version had weapons specially placed in the map where FC2 had the weapon class system.
I have not played the new version yet - I have FC3 on PS3 and 360 and might check it out over the festive period.
