Roger, I'm just covering all possible causes.

Hah, understandable. I really do appreciate all the help...this must be frustrating, I know it sure as hell is for me.

I think my only problem now is getting uplay to launch from steam...the FC3 editor is working perfectly, and before now, I was never able to get it to open. When trying to run farcry3.exe or farcry3_d3d11.exe and just skipping opening either from steam directly, both will open uplay, but it asks for my cd key every time, and says it is invalid.

I have been having the "Farcry 3 has stopped working' and could not figure out what was causing it but i believe one of your solutions helped me stumble upon a possible cause. When i try to run FC3UpdaterSteam application it says "Failed to start the game. Cannot find essential information in the registry. Re-installing the game may fix this problem." But i have already re-installed it 3 times :/ heres my question since im stil a bit of a noob for PC gaming, can i uninstall and remove all traces of Farcry 3 registry to get a clean install or will messing with the registry screw sumtin up?

    Look here first: http://ubisoft.custhelp.com/app/answers/list/p/88,2509

Then if you are launching it through steam but nothing is working listed above then submit a support ticket to steam: https://support.steampowered.com/newticket.php
And Submit the same thing to Ubisoft's support: http://ubisoft.custhelp.com/app/ask/rnv/10

    Let us know the results.
When I launch it through steam I can execute the game without any problem. My issue is when I execute the FarCry3.exe directly from his directory, when Uplay open ask me for this key.

I don't have 2 uplay accounts, only one. Which is why it makes no sense.

That might be because of the Steam+Uplay DRM(Digital Rights Management) method.

I tryed everything to make this game run without problems, all 4 steps, all those support things, I realy dont no what to do. Buy this game is the same thing as trow money into the toilet. I played for a few minutes, maybe an hour, but is too much annoying this black screen. thx for all this tips, you are much more effective then this **** support. I tryed againd right now, the game doesnt crash, but my GPU stops working, with lag and black screen, and then return to the game. Anyway, I hope Ubisoft can fix this in the next patch, I officialy give up...
