    It was for me. My Windows 8 64-bit eventlog was recording the c0000005 error until I deleted the XML file. That's probably why I didn't see the solution in Step 7 as it wasn't part of the c0000005 solution.

    I'm unable to launch from diagnostic as I use a wireless adapter that requires other drivers/software not launched in diagnostics. Stopping those services in selective startup produced no change though.

    Set Uplay in offline mode then try it. Also plug a network cable into your pc and router to bypass the wireless then try to play the game.

    Realtek onboard sound.

    No. The VMware services are for Vmware Player.

    Hello, i have the problem crash (black screen).
    write to support doesent help.
    so i look here and try all solution and the game works. but i think if i get updates from microsoft for netframework, the game crash again.
    my problem is if i try the solutions again, my game speak change to english (spoken english; text german).
    how i can fix that?

    Ok i have fix the problem by myself. i read evrywhere that u have to reduce ure gpu mhz and turn ure fanspeed up!
    no crash more!
