EternalCore,
I somehow managed to fix the problem, though I'm sure what exactly did it.
I uninstalled Far Cry 3 (from steam) and deleted the remaining folder, then uninstalled uplay and deleted any traces of it from regedit. Afterwards, I re-installed Far Cry 3 from steam, then installed ubisoft game launcher. Since I've done that, it has been working perfectly. Running it in Dx9 for a bit to see how it is (at 50-70 FPS on ultra). Will try DX11 later on.
I played for a good 3 hours and not a single crash. Thank you for the help!
Ah okay good to know, So then what happened was a failed install of Uplay and FC3 the first time it installed, which is what I suspected earlier. Your Welcome, Enjoy the game.Originally Posted by newfrank Go to original post
Can you tell me how to delete all traces of Uplay with regedit? I will try this...Originally Posted by newfrank Go to original post
Use CCleaner after you remove the game and Uplay here: http://www.piriform.com/ccleanerOriginally Posted by jpbhz1 Go to original post
