Well, I did everything and nothing works. Even on the step 4, I have the same problem of newfrank, the Uplay ask for the game key, I get on Steam but tells me its invalid. My configuration is CPU: AMD Bulldozer 4100, GPU: ATI Radeon HD 6870, 8Gb memory DDR 3, Motherboard: Asus M5A78L LE. All my drivers are up to date, if you want I can post my DxDiag here. I tryed with DX11 and DX9, aways same problem, blacks screen and the game stops working on Task Manager. Sometimes with DX9 tha game doesnt crash, but my GPU stops working, the black screen came and than get back to the game, this thing happens every few seconds. Thx man, hope you can help me.

I get Event 1000 error (in Event Viewer), which is the same error I was getting yesterday.

That error "Exception code: 0xc0000005" is memory related, Are you overclocking? If so then return your system to the defaults and try running the game again.

The key is in your steam under the game where it says "CD Key".

I'm not overclocked, why would memory cause an issue now if every other game I own runs perfect on this machine?

Also, I just restarted the computer to do an update...steam was able to launch uplay, and then Far Cry 3 loaded to the main menu this time (At which point I could've played). I wanted to test it so I quit the game, and now, nothing works again.

Once again, I cannot get Uplay to launch from Steam.

Because some games and programs such as this one has memory checks in place to detect things like faulty RAM.

Now you need to test your ram to see if one stick is dead or faulty.

Download MemTest86 and run a test on your memory:

    Download here: http://www.memtest.org/#downiso
    Tutorial here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NaHL9usaM4Q

    Let me know the results.

Also I recomend running an Online anti-virus/malware scan as some virus's/malware cause memory issues...

    Use these 2:
    1. Bitdefender Online scanner: http://quickscan.bitdefender.com/
    2. Malwarebytes Anti-malware: http://www.malwarebytes.org/

I've already got malwarebytes, just ran the Bitdefender one, and it found nothing. Neither did malwarebytes.

I did chkdsk and it found no errors, and went to command prompt and did a sfc check (sfc /scannow, which found no errors as well. Going to do a memtest overnight.

Are you launching it through steam?
    Look here first: http://ubisoft.custhelp.com/app/answers/list/p/88,2509

Then if you are launching it through steam but nothing is working listed above then submit a support ticket to steam: https://support.steampowered.com/newticket.php
And Submit the same thing to Ubisoft's support: http://ubisoft.custhelp.com/app/ask/rnv/10

    Let us know the results.
