I tried it and didn't help.
I verified the DLL's, copied all the *.DLL's fom the DVD bin directory and had to reinstall patch 1.03 => DX11 + SLI keeps crashing after each finished round.
    Maybe a combination Windows 8 + SLI + DX11???

Basicly W8 is W7 with an extra layer on top. Doesn't add extra strange things.

Can't start the game It won't load past splash screen. Ive tried everything you suggested in OP and havent played since day one. (Uplay not steam)
    Windows 8
    i5 3570k
    Sapphire 7950 12.11 beta
    16 GB Ram
currently installed to another drive (wont fit on my boot ssd)
    D:\Program Files\Ubisoft\Far Cry 3

    Things I have tried:
reinstalled Uplay (at least 3 times)
    reinstalled game (probably 6 times)
reinstalled all the .net directx etc. ( at least twice)
    launched in safe mode
started the computer without other programs through msconfig

    AMD support about my problem:

    Response and historical service request:

Sorry for the inconvenience, most know that the processor has no driver or an update available that can set a processing performance of your game. For these cases are first necessary to update the BIOS of your motherboard, just update the Microsoft Net Framework with Active X and finally uninstall the driver for your video card clearing all records with a program like CCleaner and finally install the last traverse driver of your video card. If these procedures do not resolve your case, contact the technical support of your game that Ubisoft is to provide you with some patch.

To update this service request, please respond to this message, leaving intact the reference of the service request.

    Sincerely,

    AMD Global Customer Care

To be honest, the only thing I didnt tryed is the reinstalation of GPU drivers after clearing all records with CCleaner. We can conclude that the problem really is Ubisoft.

Yes i tried everything in the op as well. I heard that this game doesn't run at all if installed on another drive other than C. Is that true?
