Lol, you help more people in this topic than this Ubisoft support man.Originally Posted by EternalCore Go to original post
These are the steps I took. Hopefully it works for others!
-Uninstall Far Cry 3 from steam. Remove any remaining folders in C:\Program Files (x86).
-Uninstall Uplay. Remove any remaining folders in C:\Program Files (x86).
-Go to regedit, go to the HKEY_LOCALMACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node and delete the ubisoft entry.
-Reinstall Far Cry 3 through steam.
-Reinstall Ubisoft Game Launcher from here: http://static3.cdn.ubi.com/orbit/lau...rInstaller.exe
-If the game crashes, quit uplay, go back to steam and right click on Far Cry 3, click on set launch options and type in "-dxlevel90" (without quotations) and it should work.
I was pulling my hair out trying to get it to work. This was my last resort, and I'm glad it worked!
Support answer:
Hello ,
The developers have passed on this information about fixing performance issues:
AMD users:
• *MUST ABSOLUTELY* use at least the 12.11 BETA8 drivers (12.11 BETA11 drivers are also ok). Anything lower will result in erratic framerate and stuttering.
• Crossfire should be disabled. It has a big negative impact on performance at the moment. We are working with AMD to provide a Xfire profile asap.
Performance tips:
AC3 is a very CPU intensive game to begin with and the “Environment quality” option only makes it more demanding.
• On the “Very High” setting, the rendered surface area is twice as big as on console and the objects are 4 times more detailed.
• Users whose systems don’t have cutting-edge CPUs or that want higher framerates should consider bringing this setting down a notch.
On the GPU side:
• “AA quality” will most affect performance. Using the “Very High” or “TXAA” settings will enabled 4x MSAA, which will require beefy GPUs, especially as resolutions go up.
• “Shadow quality” will also affect performance when on “Very High”, as the shadow filtering is quite sophisticated at that setting.

Now, sorry for my ignorance, but I only have one GPU, but I need to disable this **** crossfire? I realy dont understand how this work...
So, even if doing all that did fix the issues, which I highly doubt since I have tried all that crap, thier answer is basically "nothing wrong on our end, dumb down your computer".
Of course I am speaking from the point that I can run this game with cranked up specs maintaining great framerates. Game just loves to crash. Even when I dumb it down to DX9, it will still crash randomly.
Well, doesnt work for me. I cant install the Uplay from this link, Steam cant opened the game, "farcry3_d3d11.exe - Entry Point Not Found". But, enjoy tha game! I will keep in my jorney to make this game works.Originally Posted by GeoFrank91 Go to original post
