After heeding advise from several of you guys and after MANY hours of work, I have completed a map I am quite proud of and would appreciate if you guys checked it out with not only your impressions, but your critiques as well (if any). The map name is Ruby Gulch, named after the famous and now defunct mining town in Montana. There are four main areas on the map; the Mill, Offices, Train Yard and Cavern (you'll see once you play it). I think it came together well and hopefully will meet up with some of you guys online. As always, like and favorite it .

I am going to do this a bit different. I will start from the latest map post and work my way backwards. That way we can get some fair shake at this deal. These reviews will be initial impression with any helpful thought I may find. Thanks

I am loving your testing intro with your name, nice touch. What impressed me the most about your map was the use of rocks and the layout. I did find one thing that may need further consideration. The rock bridge you made is sweet and it looks awesome. It works fine from the red teams side but when you get to the blue teams side after walking that path ledge by the silo, it just abruptly ends. This may be a design for a sniper spot but I found it a bit disappointing and I actually had a death fall.Someone that does not know the map well will most likely walk off the end just like I did. It's cool but I would think a bridge from it to the other side across that paved road would fit real good. Very nice map.

Oh my gosh I am loving this one. Brings back tons of memories and it is simply awesome!!! Although it is a perfect replica it has a touch of your own stuff in it. This is great stuff and I found no glitch. Really nice job man and thanks for the memories.

Very nice close quarter map. Looks like tons of fun. I found no glitches in my brief walkthrough. If I could add on thing to this map it would be access to the top of the building. You have a ladder that gets you half way and it would be easy to install access to the top. Just my 2 cents of course. Great Job!

This map appears very straightforward and the gameplay should be real nice on it. I found no glitch and everything appears to be in order. According to that graveyard most of the town bit the dust so until some ladies get back to the bar, I will hold up in the church...LOL!!!! I really like this map for sure.

    Lost delusion by MrRudewords
This map is pretty cool. My first thought was it should have been called Heaven. But after further investigation it appears to be the doorsteps of death itself...LOL!!! Lots of opportunity and you made Tom Petty real proud. Free Falling!!! I;m free.....free falling....I'm free....free....oooopps my bads. hahahaha!!! I like it...

    Stonehenge 2453 BCE by Rudewords
This map is pretty sweet and I found no glitch. The gameplay should be very solid and straight forward on this one. Boom it's on...nice job! If I could give you any advice it would be the waterfall. It is very nice and well done and I can tell you put some work into it. I personally think all that hard work should be seen a bit more. If it were me I would either move the gameplay closer to it or I would move the water fall closer to the gameplay. I say this not only becsuse you should show off your work a bit more but at the distance it is from accross the map it disappears...NO!!! I want to see that water fall you made. Please take this as positive thoughts.

Still looking at these maps headed backwards...LOL!!! So if i miss any on the way holla. Once again i am just doing a walk through and checking for any problems that jump out at me and maybe my thoughts in general of stuff. Just trying to help and do my part.

    Suburbia by MrRudewords
To be honest when I first saw was this map I was like...hmmmm. Then after a closer look I was like...Ahhhh!!! This map will no doubt have awesome gameplay because it is straightforward and to the point in that regard. I really enjoyed the walk through because it is more involved than it looks at first impression. Every roof access and every yard to yard jump works sweet and each is unique right down to that sneaky little vine trip I made to the roof. Nice stuff. I actually have only one thing I would consider adding: On the backside of the fences down both sides I would add maybe one jump into a yard about half way. As it sits if someone heads down that outside back fence they will have to go the whole distance to the other end to gain access to the gameplay. That would open up the gameplay a touch and I really think it would fit real nice.

    Hippies Paradise by MrRudewords
OMG!!! This map is like far out man. First things first is that waterfall is in a great location on this one for sure and all that work can clearly be seen. It's like that power to the groovy stuff on real terms. Lots of work went into getting what you wanted and it works real well from my walk through. One thing needs to be done: I only saw a couple of red crates but everyone of them need to be lowered to the floor a bit more....have to jump to walk through them. Other than that I am now like peace out and may the flower power land softly on your nogg'n. LOL!!!

    ABANDONED by loops73
Solid little map and the gameplay should be real sweet on it. I did a walk through and found no glitches but being very humble in what I am about to say, I would consider a different name for this map. There are way to many maps with this name and frankly I got tired of looking for yours and reviewed the MMC1_ABANDONED one. Just a humble thought on that. One thing else is that a few of your spawns on the outside of the map need to probably be turned to face the town when they spawn. Looked like the blue spawns were ok but the red and white spawns along the outside road are looking away from the action.

    Hotel Resolution by Zajemacha
At the time I looked at this map it had 174 plays and 108 likes and it is a silver map. This map is doing it's thing....what else can I say?

    Harbor by Ace IIXII
This map is pretty awesome and I really like the layout. A ton of work was put into it and I really enjoyed my walk through. I only found one problem but it is pretty big. If you put your back to the ocean and look at the map....the red containers on the far left have a problem. It appears that a ground floor is missing underneath them and thus they are floating in the air. It can clearly be seen and should be a simple fix but it needs it. Great work on this one otherwise.

Thanks and I hope some of this helps out as I put my 2 cents into the mix. Happy mapping!!!

Hi Budreux, thanks for going through all those maps, that must've been some hard graft! I would guess you are running these under the Test Map option in the editor. You don't get the out of bounds bit and falling deaths the same when you do this. Also, I don't know if you've done any maps yourself, but I've recently found it's best to test them by running them in a private match instead of the editor as some things you can run over easily in the editor, you can't in a real match (which is extremely annoying, I had to fix loads in lost delustion that seemed fine in the editor.). So that free falling in lost delustion would really be a quick death and the behind the fences in suburbia is way out of bounds. I'm of two minds when it comes to changing the red crates in Hippies Paradise. It probably needs doing, but then I'll lose my map playing stats which is a bit ! I agree that it's really annoying that the waterfall in Stonehenge disappears, but it would be a huge pain to move it. Hopefully ubisoft will fix the object draw distance one day and it won't be an issue (I should probably laugh at myself for thinking ubisoft might actually do something).

I'm in the middle of making yet another map. This time I'm getting loads of crashes in the editor. It's very annoying! It looks like when you get near the map object limit then this happens quite a bit. I don't know if anyone else has noticed this but some objects cost more than others. If you use the Hotel object, I think you can only put about 8 in one square (I was using them to make skyscrapers) then you run out of objects for the whole map pretty quick. Also, this object could be so much better if the doors were all open! So F'ing Gash!

    Hi guy's

I was wondering if you could perhaps give me a bit of feedback on the map that I made - (MMC1 Intruder Alert) - I've not managed to get it played at all (despite being better than all but 1 map i've played on in game so far) :-(
It's a real pity, it's a map designed for a full server, but i have only ever gotten 2 other people on the map at the same time.

would be happy to give a fresh eyes look on any maps in return

    (Big Post, lol)

Hey everyone, here's my second "official"(meaning it wasn't something I threw together in an hour to test something) release to the FC3 community, first being "Port Saint John" which was reviewed well.

    Map Name: Crooked Occupation
    Author: Drewdelz
    Platform: Xbox 360

    Description:
In the outskirts of the city in the industrial park, an old processing plant that had been bought over by criminals at auction for next to nothing is now used to produce black market weapons that are sold to locals and criminals across the border. They make anything from iron knuckles to illegal lethal tazers. They're "front" operation is a motorcycle aftermarket parts distributor.

This is a true CQB arena that is essentially three main routes from one one major end to the other, spanning over two floors. One main hall, an outside loading area, and an upper floor of offices, mostly unused now.

    Map:

Red and blue dots represent a rough location Team Starting points and are not exact. Green areas are places where the two floors meet; stairs, ladders, holes.

Hey, I'm definitely up for this on Xbox 360. We need a stronger community to share deserving maps. It's tough sharing maps and having them achieve success without a bit of self motivation to promote the map and get it played.

I'm looking to organise an event where we grab together about 16 committed players to play on a nice rotation of maps from the community. Giving them play time, consistent and honest ratings, and helping the deserving maps find their way into the Silver rated playlist. Looking on the archive shows that 16 player votes could really help a map out. So this would be a good procedure to help the finest maps progress how they should. It's a new system we're not taking advantage of. Ubisoft has put the voting system there to separate the good from the bad. We just haven't utilised it properly yet.

    My GT is ell635

My debut map is called Cavern, it's up for the MMC1 and it's really nice for 12-16 players to engage long distant assaults, with careful sniper gameplay and plenty of options in the battlefield.

I also have a WIP at the moment, I'm playing around with terrain a bit more in this one and it's a really fresh, rocky beach. The environment feels like a natural beach, it's gonna be nice for sniper gameplay if you sit back, otherwise the beach makes you feel quite uncomfortable, there are so many angles of vulnerability despite the useful cover. The sightlines are executed nicely to make you want to keep moving in the middle of the map. There are little hiding places of comfort for those who treasure life, and are anxious to find a resting point with some cover before proceeding. I consider those hiding spots for healing purposes too.

I can't wait to release it all for you, I'm actually getting quite impatient with its completion. But it has quite some way to go yet, and I'm trying to patiently complete it properly.
