All Rocks Glow neon and Water is invisible...?

So I played fine the first day I had the game, but now for the last 2 days it's been like this. Pretty much unplayable for me, I want some immersion and cant have it when all rocks are super bright glowing and the water is invisible. Anyone had this issue? I am running crossfire 6950's on beta drivers, have tried disabling crossfire but it did nothing, played around with settings as well. Much appreciated.

This thread is the #1 Google result for "Far Cry 3 invisible water". Have you fixed your problem yet? Does anyone have any suggestions on how to fix it? I had the exact same experience. Perfect play on day 1 but then the next day the water turned invisible, the shadows started acting strange, and some things glow like crazy. I've tried changing every video setting possible, even cranking everything up to ultra with no difference. I didn't expect it would though since I hadn't changed any settings since the last time I played when everything looked great.

I have the same problem but completely different graphics card than OP. Mine is the 2gb Nvidia GeForce GT.

I just changed the settings from Direct X 11 to Direct X 9 and all the problems were solved. Not the best solution but it worked so the issue may be with Direct X itself.

soooo... even after 6 months there's still no response from ubisoft? anyone got solid solution for this yet? I stopped playing this game because of this issue back then... just felt like starting over again few days ago but it seems like there's still no fix for this crap.

There is a quarter solution for this that I found. Just restart your game a couple of times and it should work. Oh and what's causing the bug isn't purely the game. It's the save-zone. Try saving in Amanki Village, because I don't get the bug when I save there. Do NOT save OUTSIDE a house/fast travel zone because it will let that annoying bug happen. If you close the game the bug may or may not happen. That is the best solution found till now.

Hope it helps! Good luck guys!
