    Bad performance? Please post here.

I have an article that will make you laugh.

    http://www.dsogaming.com/pc-performa...ance-analysis/

If you don't feel like reading, it basically says that Far Cry 3 Is The Most Optimized PC Game Of 2012. Well, now I've seen everything.
    What a joke.

I want this thread to counter-act this article. I want Ubisoft to see hundreds of posts here expressing exactly what they think of this article, and realise that their game is in fact a poorly optimised mess for a lot of us. FIX this game Ubisoft.

ye kinda bad for my system
    Alienware M18x
    I7 @ 2,8 GHz up to 3,9GHz
    amd radeon 7970m Crossfire 2x2GB
    16GB RAM

On highest graphic settings only 30 fps. I was told by Ubisoft that this could be easily played on highest settings with my highend system

If you're playing on LOW I would not expect your FPS to be that bad, it should be around 60. I think you could handle medium @1080 res at around 55FPS, provided it is on DX9 with no anti-aliasing.

Haha as much as I love the game and am addicted that is a load of @^@^&

I am running a Asus G74SX Gaming Laptop with
    16GB of DDR3 1333 Mhz Ram
    GTX560M with 3GB of Dedicated DDR5 Ram
    i7 2630QM Quad Core processor @ 3.0gighz
    2X750 7200rpm HD's
    1920X1080 3D display

Now it can handle another huge open game Skyrim on ULTRA settings maxed out, 1920X1080 and average between 45-90 fps around 50 average! With FC3 I had to turn DX11 off and run DX9, turn Shadows and PostFX down to LOW, Vegetation and Water down to Medium to achieve an average of 30 fps with it dipping as low as 22 fps and as high as 40 fps !

I am not really surprised though according to the documentation, Ubisoft isn't supporting Laptop graphics cards even if they are made by AMD or Nvidia which is great for me, because I bought my gaming laptop as a desktop replacement I would be happy with 50fps but I refuse to lower the resolution below my Laptop Displays native 1920X1080 resolution! Best optimized .... I doubt it although the graphics are fantastic, I have found it is my CPU that is heating up the most, some 5-10 degrees Celsius more than with any other game I have played. This shows how CPU dependant FC3 is, maybe they could optimize the game to use more Video Ram and GPU more? I feel like my Dedicated 3GB of DDR5 is being totally wasted

I'm running the game on eiter high or optimal and i get pretty good fps, about 50+ in heavy vegetation, co-op and fighting i suspect.

    Intel core duo cpu E8600 @ 3,33Ghz
    2 Gig Ram
    GeForce GTX 260
    WinXP Pro sp3

Yes this is my toaster, don't you laugh at it!

Running in 1920 by 1080 with some applications in the background.

On farcry 2 however i get 20-40 fps max in heavy vegetation and fights lower at nights or with flames.

As for skyrim i CAN play on ultra but works best on high-ish settings for up to 40-50 fps in big combat.

Maybe it's the cpu cores thats not working or the shaders i dunno. I'm one of the lucky FEW who can run it but not enjoy it *bugs, glitches, crashes, resets, epic fails*
