    Blitz map of London

For anyone with an interest in the London Blitz, there is a map that has the positions of all the bombs that fell on London

    http://bombsight.org

With the "layer" button on the top right you can see the original maps. Interesting stuff!

Yup - interesting. It only shows H.E. bombs and parachute mines though - they probably didn't ever record individual incendiaries. The evidence of the bombs is still there, too - most noticeably in the suburbs, where a row of pre-war houses is interrupted by a more modern building or two. A careful look at Google maps satellite imagery reveals at least one crater though - in Richmond Park, to the West of Thatched House Lodge, adjacent to the road. I can remember playing in the crater as a kid, in the early 1960s. It has probably become less noticeable now, but can still be seen.
