Well, with sentence building skills like that you should probably be very concerned of any drops in IQ. Perhaps you have simply been here too long and that is the result.

    Really useful post a bit.

What kind of FPS increments have people been getting with disabling the DOF? I have a decent card (680) but am playing in 3D so need all the FPS I can get my grubby mitts on.

I have only dual core AMD x2 4g ram 560ti. I never noticed any FPS drops by using any injectors. Either it was gta4, or BF3, or here. It works fine on my machine with W7/64. I'm just have no way to test Radeon cards.

If you wanna make sure it works and DLL is loaded minimize your running game and try to delete dxgi.dll. If it wont let you, cause it's in use, game is using it. Or alternately do some drastic changes to brightness or something, maybe be setting exposure sky hi and press pause/break in game, see what it does. Unfortunately this game does not actually minimize, it just creates windowed view in which you can browse your pc too, but settings changes will not show up until you restart your game. Unlike in Assassin's Creed 3 you can truly minimize, work your settings, go back in full screen and see your changes immediately.

If injector has DXGI.DLL it's for DirectX 10 and 11. For anybody trying to get this work on DX 9, they have same injectors as this available for download with d3d9.dll in it, which is for DX 9. Just search for Fxaa Injector.

Or here is version for DX9 Skyrim.

    http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/download/11904

It has several presets you can start with and gui interface.

@ jim2point0, I'm not saying this is better, just different for some who likes it. This game does look fantastic without it. Did not mean to get you all cranked up.

Btw i like sharpening methods since i used it first time in gta4, never played Skyrim.

Also this injector does not do anything to DOF. Blured mountains in distance caused by DOF can be turned off in xml file as explained in beginning. I do like DOF off in this game, unfortunately it does not look as good as DOF off in Just Cause 2.

@ Meplay787 or Rylod, Skyrim DX9 version should do it for you. I actually use it for NFS Shift2. Maybe in DX9 you gonna be able to window your game temporarily and use interface which comes with skyrim version overlapped over game to do your changes and see it in real time, try it out.

I just came here to provide a quick tip. I have a fairly high end laptop (i.e. Skyrim with all settings and a ton of visual mods works fine and FC3 with on the highest settings works awesome). However, FC3 on DX9 automatically loses like 30 FPS for me even without FXAA Injector. Not only that but I get the problems other users have described, like crazy flickering shadows, and I was getting some weird stuff like not seeing explosions or fire. I fixed all of this by using the FXAA Injector and renaming the FC3 default .exe to the FC3 DX11 .exe. Just rename the DX11 .exe to something else, then name the DX9 to the same name as the FC3DX11 .exe. Sorry I don't remember the names. Anyway, ever since then everything works just great with everything turned all the way up that I want turned up on FXAA with no glitches, except the ****ed crosshairs not being there. But that seems to be a problem with using ANY outside AA. So anyway, hope this helps some people.

Why on Earth would you want an FXAA injector for a game that has FXAA ALWAYS on by default unless you turn PostFXQuality to low?
Also the higher the PostFX settings (high and ullta-high) enable an extra FXAA pass to remove even more jaggies.
It's always on even if you enable MSAA too.

In the begining it explains what i use this for. FXAA injector is just name of this tool. I don't use it as extra fxaa, but for color correcting and sharpening. Just check it out one day, it targets bloom, hdr, you can set you own exposure, gamma, contrast style, effects like bleach bypass, some have filmic curve. Ofcourse sharpening makes hidden imperfections worse, like low def sky shows pixels little, or if you like your edges smooth, that will get worse too. I don't mind to sacrifice that. My ingame FXAA and AA is at max to get best edges possible with this.

Considering that PostFXQuality is bugged (currently at patch 1.03), secondary post processing is a viable solution after turning PostFXQuality to low. ENB shaders are the best (IM<HO), and SmartFX only adds in another layer which could be achieved by properly tweaked ENB.
