I really like how when you heal yourself it takes a moment or two preventing you from doing it in combat, and there's a neat little animation. I love that. But I don't like health auto regen at all, the way that your health will regenerate if only part of the segment is depleted.

I also don't like how you can heal yourself without medicine. Bandaging your forearm or popping your thumb back in is ok for minor wounds, that makes sense. But when you're badly injured you should NEED medicine or a health kit. So perhaps you could heal yourself without medicine when only the first segment is depleted. Any more than that and you should need midicine.

I think the outpost system is seriously flawed. If the enemy controls the area you can't do anything without being attacked. You can't hunt because if you shoot off a single shot pirates home in on you and keep coming no matter how many you kill. But then if you capture the outpost and the area becomes safe, there are no pirates at all, and no one to fight, and the game becomes a little dull.

I dislike tagging enemies. It is too unrealistic and removes too much challenge. Thank you for the option to disable weapon tagging. But I would like to be able to use the camera to see far away. So perhaps an option in the preferences to turn off camera tagging altogether, or require a button click in order to tag a target. That way I could use the camera without tagging anything and spoiling my fun.

It would be great if the music had it's own volume control. I liked the music but I turned it off completely because it was too loud.

I really like the missions where you talk to people directly as opposed to the message boards. I love weapon customisation. I like the restrictions placed on how much stuff you can carry requiring you to hunt and craft items, though I think the crafting system is very simplistic but that's ok.

    Thank you.

I really liked the game, it improved on FC2 in many areas. The combat is far better, whether it’s close, mid or long range, it’s all very satisfying. The animals and hunting are also great.

I thought the story was ok and the characters were mostly great, Vaas in particular was very good (my main issue was with Jason and his friends). There was a big disconnect between me and the protagonist. It kind of felt like 2 games, when exploring the open world and taking outposts etc, I was me. Then when doing the story missions I’m this idiot with ****head friends, the two didn’t gel together very well.

While I really liked the game, for me it moved too far away from FC2 in some areas. In FC3 I was constantly aware I was playing a game, from the HUD constantly telling me what was going on, to the mini map showing me everything, it lacked immersion. FC2 despite all its faults, was incredibly immersive and atmospheric. The minimal HUD, the music, the way map worked, the combination of these did a brilliant job of sucking you into the world.

Anyway here are some things I think would improve the game.

    1. HUD customisation options. I’d like the ability to turn everything off, including the mini map.
    2. Enemies to have better awareness. I’ve found it far too easy to avoid being seen. In FC2 the enemies had ridiculous eagle eyed x-ray vision, but FC3 has gone too far the other way, somewhere in the middle would be good.
    3. The ability to turn down the just music. I played most of Farcry 3 with the music turned off as I found it overly intrusive, I never done that with any other game.
    4. I’d like a greater sense of danger and mystery. The HUD diminishes the sense of mystery by showing you too much. The sense of danger is diminished by the enemies’ lack of awareness and the mini map showing their position.
    5. I’d like a longer day and night cycle. It seemed a bit too short.
    6. More varied weather would be good.
    7. The night time wasn’t dark enough. It seemed too bright, I could see just as clearly as in the day time. I don’t want it pitch black, you need to be able to see obviously. A middle ground would be good with view distance halved maybe – then have night vision-scopes and goggles available to buy, or as rare loot you have to find.
    8. I’d like more enemy patrols when outposts are cleared, or after several days outposts can be re-taken by pirates. The world is a bit lacking in danger when outposts are taken.
    9. More interesting side quests.

    Cheers.

    Enemies Finding Bodies

This issue has been causing me quite a bit of frustration of late: it would seem that although enemies' perception has seen a significant drop since Far Cry 2 (Jason is often able to walk around crouched in plain view of nearby enemies) their amazing ability to spot a body through a wall, behind a bush, at a considerable distance has remained intact. This creates slightly ridiculous situations whereby Jason can actually be less than five meters away from a hostile encampment and remain undetected, but the body lying in a ditch 50-60 meters away gets spotted.

I know that this point hasn't received much voice from anybody else, so I am not expecting any changes on this front anytime soon, but I feel I would not be doing my civic duty if I didn't bring this annoyance to light. On a related note, it really would be lovely if Jason could move bodies and hide / unhide them without having to do a "takedown drag".

    Many thanks in advance.

They do flash, MadMonk35, but - yes - I know what you mean; they are still quite difficult to find. Did you mean that they should appear as "tagged", visible through walls, jungle, etc.? Because that sounds like a good idea...

    I don't like the ending.

Just to reiterate (in light of recent frustration with this problem): enemies seeing bodies through walls - essentially a form of X-ray vision - is extremely annoying. If Ubisoft is working on another patch, please, please, please, see that this gets to them. This problem has turned into a major blight on an otherwise almost perfect game.

Actually, while I'm here, let me add a couple more points to the list of "extremely annoying":

    - Watching Jason repeatedly struggle to move up a tiny step / ledge / whatever that stands mere inches off the ground. This wouldn't be so bad if it just happened occasionally, outside of combat situations, but it doesn't. It happens constantly, often in the most annoying contexts, such as trying to sneak around in a hostile encampment. Mainly, it's just deeply infuriating having to watch Jason "the badass" Brody struggle to perform an action that any 4 year-old has mastered.

    - The Save / Load system: this has really spoiled the experience for me at so many points that I've lost count. First of all, the current system doesn't always work as it should - for instance, if you reload the game while trying to clear an outpost, it often places you miles away, rather than at the outskirts of the outpost. Second, if you venture deep into foreign territory without taking any radio towers / outposts and then accidentally get killed, you will be spawned miles away. Third, and perhaps most frustrating of all, is the "Leaving mission zone" warning. A game that purports to be "open-world" should never ever do this, and it is made doubly annoying by the fact that it is quite easy to accidentally stumble into a mission zone, at which point you have no choice but to do it (especially since choosing "Abandon mission", for some inexplicable reason, results in being respawned God knows where - normally halfway across the map)...

... so there we have it. Apologies if there is a slightly angry undercurrent in the above. If these problems are properly addressed in an upcoming patch, I will have nothing but good things to say about Far Cry 3. However, until they are, it will remain a game that falls short of its full potential and I will not wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone.

I really really hate dumb stupid gamers that complain too much about storyline. Why dont these dumb people tell a story and make their own game if they think their too smart. What i can say is that they would have flop really farking hard. Also, to the people who complains about repetitive gameplay, how stupid are you people anyway? Are you not repeating your daily lives everyday when the sun goes up and down ? In reality, Human life is repetitive and pass down to next generation and the next until the world explode.

For me, i really really love FARCRY 3. Great enviroment, wildlife and side quest, a boot up from the previous farcry 2 which is bland (murky) in colour.

What i need from Farcry 3 to fix or improve is

    - Day and Night System =
1.) Night time is too short, I like the feel of night time enviroment at shoreline / jungle and i would like if Ubi can extend the night time like the day time.
2.) Add the "wait" system like farcry 2 and implement it on Farcry3. Cause i want to play Night time for hunting / Assasination. =D
3.) Night time need to be more darker.

    - Rainy time=
1.) Rain time is too short as well, need to extend it.
2.) Need to have option for rain weather. Toggle as Low, Frequent or High. ( I like mine high since it makes me feel at home. Yes, i do live in tropical place.)

-NO free weapon unlock. ALL must be purchased.
1.) I have accumilate enough money but i felt it has no purpose since free weapon is available every tower unlock. Player should FARM for their guns.

    -UNholster/holster the gun
1.) I like to see the scenec view but not with my gun sticking out and sometimes when i go climb hills, i want to see all the area and not my gun. Need add feature and key bind for this.

Suggest for FARCRY 4 improvment (if there will be) or Adding feature to Farcry 3 patch.

    Moving the Body=
1.) Add feature to pick up and move the body elsewhere.

CRAFTING = Add Rope, Anti-Venom and Tranqulizer dart.
1.) Making rope out of vine. Use for climbing down cliffs and tie down wanted fugitive. ( A one time use stuff just like the medicine)
2 ) Making Anti-Venom out of 5 different leaves. ( I saw snakes at Farcry 3 but it scratch me, i would love it could poison me and do damage overtime until i adminster Anti-Venom). Why? It's Challenging.
3.) Make Bandage out of 4 different leaves. ( Tiger clawing, crocodile biting and other tear skin animals). Challenging.
4.) Making Tranqualizer dart out of 3 different leaves. ( To subdue Animals and fugitive)

WANTED DEAD or ALIVE = DEAD low payment, ALIVE High payment.
1.) Need to add CAPTURE the Leader. ( The use of tranqulizer dart to subdue him and rope to tie him up) Either carry him back to the Rakyat prison to claim the bounty or put him in the car. If there is no rope tied on him, he should be able to run away once you turn your back on him or he will fight you like the tiger mawing you down. Why? It's Challenging. Beside at least it could change the view that Farcry3/4 have the option of NOT killing people.

2.) Same goes to Hunting, not all people want to kill animals but buy them ALIVE. (Same as no.1 style) Challenging since require T.dart, rope and a few bandage to boot if you botch the job and the tiger comes running after you.

    ADD new SKILL moves
1.) Use Tranqulizer dart to stab a person for close non-lethal takedown. ( Good for capture people for high bounty, ALIVE)

ADD new damage, Poison and Bleeding,
1.) Bleeding will kill after a period of time. Need bandage
2.) Poison will kill after a period of time. Need Anti-venom.

The Leaves for medical use is good but i dont use the other 4 type compare to green leaves since i like hunting using sound and snipe enemy from a far and not going in as a one-man-army type.
Why should have different type of Stuff like Anti-venom and bandage ? Manage inventory is challenging as well.

Thats all i got.. Hope there will be changes in the FARCRY 3 patch.

More things to do with all of the money you get. Hunting is pointless without anything to buy.

I'm about halfway through the game now and though there are many great & cool things about this newest addition to the FC saga, there are a couple of things that are inexcusable in a game made in 2012.

#1 The horrible console save system. I'm playing this on PC yet is has an antiquated "waypoint" system like the original FC that came out in 2004. Unlike FC2 there is no Quick Save, just a clumsy MANUAL save overwrite which takes you out of the immersion. Apparently there is no way to go back and replay saved games or progress, just in the current mission you are on.

#2 The waaay over-use of interactive cutscenes. These would be fine sprinkled here & there through the maps, but it seems like old Jason is stumbling into one of these pre-scripted things every 15 minutes or so while on a main mission. At some of the tougher chokepoints in the game it just gets **** tiring, and ruins the sandbox-free roaming aspect of it.

Incredible graphics, interesting enemies, and some great weaponry help offset these 2 big negatives, but I was reall hoping Far Cry 3 would be more about unrestricted roaming and exploring, and less like some" hurry up & do this now" linear version of CoD.
