My overall thoughts on Far Cry 3 mirostutter

I don't know about you guys but i am really pissed off right now,let me explain.i have been a PS3 gamer for the last 5 years and recently switched to the ''Masterace'' only to find after spending good money on a gaming system, that half of the time there is a problem with drivers or poorly optimized games/ports.
The games i play are The witcher 2 with which i also had microstutter when turning around, Rage which excuse my french was a f%$(g joke for AMD users again money wasted.

My system is AMD FX8150 16gb ddd3 corsair vengeance Crossfire xfx Radeon 7850 DD Sandisk SSDS blah blah blah..point is this game has the microstutter even after installing ALL AMD beta drivers, who is to blame here? AMD or UBISOFT? .because i built this machine FOR FAR CRY 3. i could have saved the money and headache. @ 38 i am getting veeeery tired of the same ******** every time.

Same problem here. Micro stutter. I have tried everything on the internet. I have all the latest beta drivers and game profile.

    My specs are:

    i7 2600k @ 4.5ghz
    AMD 7970 3GB
    8GB Ripjaw @1866mhz

AMD users have you got the latest beta drivers? http://www.anandtech.com/show/6497/a...vers-available

I also found that forcing tessellation to something equal or lower than 64 (or even 'off') in CCC helped resolve stuttering. I recommend testing it on AMD graphic card systems.

I use to love AMD and used them for years, however, the last few years I have found them to be problematic with games and not so good with compatibility (I play alot of old game still).

Im sure many people will disagree, but I would have recommended using Intel for a gaming rig. Not saying this specific issue is because of AMD, but just my 2 cents.

I have had no problems playing any games at all, Rage ran like a treat on my system and though it was not a fantastic game, it was just ...fun, which games should be

My rig is i7 950, 6GB RAM, nVidia 470 and Win 7 64bit. No problems at all running Far Cry 3, everything on Very High or High.....anything thats just 1 down from Ultra. I dont know my FPS, never bothered to test it, but the game feels very smooth and no stuttering at all.

Anyway, things are still very early, so lets hope a patch or two and some better drivers will resolve your problem. So hang in there!!

Yes it is AMD. No issues on this game with my Nvida card except the odd crash which doesn't occur at all if I swap to dx9 so I think its something with the DX11 client.

Hey, few things that might ease it up for you :

    1. Do you use 8xMSAA ? If so, tune it down to at least 2xMSAA or even OFF.
It looks a bit better with 8xMSAA but actually the graphic glitches of the game will still be there all along at least for me (I have 7850 2GB)
Really weird they sell this game along with the GPU but NVidia supports it better. puzzling imo.

    2. Download CAP (Catalyst Application Profile) for far cry 3

Please update how are you doing, we have the same card still i don't get below 40FPS but i do get this stutter from 4xMSAA.
    i have i7 2600 (3.4GHZ), HD7850 2GB, 4GB of 1333 ram

People here have great computer specs and extremely powerful GPUs still the game fails to hold solid gameplay for most of them...
Is it only on AMD or do NVidia customers experience this as well?
Both Ubisoft and AMD should be working around the clock right now to be topping these issues imo.

No issue with other games and its only FC3 Online where I get stuttering. And I have friends also using 670 Nvidia GPU and get the same stutter so its Ubi not the GPU's. So ignore anyone saying its AMD its Nvidia just Grow up.
@OP when you installed the Drivers 12.11 beta 11 out now make sure you also install the CAP2 12.11 that has FC3 tweaks for single GPU.

Its not just an AMD issue. Ive seen plenty of people with Nvidia cards complain of microstuttering. I seen people with gtx 570,580,660ti,670 and 680 complain of stutters in single and multiplayer.
