Totally agree. The support for this title has been dookie from the start and they left us with a flaming bag of crap.

Support serves many functions. Not only do they offer immediate assistance to customers if they have a solution, they also pass along all the information reported to them to the development team to fix. Mush and all the rest of us Forum Managers aren't Technical Support, and can't offer any help in that area. We are supposed to forward you to the proper department for game bugs and issues.

I submit feedback regularly to the team, which is comprised of many departments within the company, and I inform them of complaints you all have with Support as well. Just so you know that your complaints in that area aren't being ignored.

So we can rest assured that once you have made your reports, they aren't turned into elaborate origami, paper planes, accidentally or deliberately deleted. Shredded or just sits in someones in box?

You can be assured all feedback is taken very seriously and read by many departments. We do not only gather feedback from this forum but right across the internet.

Please do contact Technical Support as they know by the amount of tickets how many this is affecting, from the information you give them when and how it is happening and can use this information for patches.

Haha. I haven't seen one origami animal. Not one. And they only make planes out of them after they've read them.

Seriously now, yes they are read.

Only problem is all the reports in the world have not fixed this game. We have heard the forum managers say time and time again, ask support or we will pass this along. Nothing has changed.

Why not ask them what they will do to compensate people? Or work out a system to get refunds? Steam does not offer refunds.

    Too true!

I originally highlighted all of the problems to technical support in early August, they have done everything under the sun to deny any responsibility for the problems and refuse to accept that they are affecting everyone.

I am getting asked the same qustions over and over because my ticket is being passed from one person to the next and they don't bother reading the full history. It's a complete joke.

Mods, please take note of the following absolutely useless back and forth conversation i have had with technical support, this is what you advise everyone to do and quite frankly it is a huge waste of time as they don't do or try anything.

I have tried playing the game through a wired internet connection (as mentioned quite some time ago) and it does not work.

There is another issue actually. Often when clicking "join game" it begins to search for a game yet seems to get stuck there, you can leave it for hours and it does nothing. If you cancel it again it gets stuck, only solution is to force quit the game and restart.

I don't want this call closing until all of these issues have been fixed.

I have tried all of the following and experienced the same problems each time:
    Broadband - wireless - router
    Broadband - wired - router
Broadband - wired - direct to modem
Broadband - wireless direct to modem.

    Other issues:
If you have 80-90+ people on your friend list it causes the game to crash whenver you click on the Friend List button in game.
Game's start using the poorest connection, often resulting in a host migration early on in the game.
Often when starting the game up all of the characters are reset to level 0, requiring the game to be rebooted to fix this.
Yeti errors - often experience this, can always tell as everyone in a game suddenly have the same name as myself.
Sometimes when joining a game it gets stuck at a screen showing the spawn location, but you cannot move and connect get the menu up.
Sometimes when spawning after dying, if you press Enter too early (before the preview of your death starts) it respawns you but your camera is locked onto a certain location, only way to fix it is to die.
When connection is lost mid way through a game, all of the experience earned is lost.
Sometimes when playing guerilla the game just crashes to desktop, no warning received. Only had this since 1.5 was installed.

I play with a group of players (about 50) on a regular basis and they all frequently experience these problems.

My graphics card is not the issue. I don't see why you are constantly repeating this same thing over and over and ignoring that i am saying. Graphics card are not the problem, it's the actual game - I know this because I play with 50 people from around the world on a regular basis and they ALL experience the EXACT same problems on DIFFERENT graphics cards.

My game runs PERFECTLY on single player. Every game i have runs PERFECTLY, i have games that require higher specs than future soldier. I have said ALL this before.

If you check the forums you would see HUNDREDS of people posting that they are experiencing the SAME PROBLEMS. The problem is WITH THE GAME.

I'm putting this in capitals as you seem unable to read what i am typing clearly.

There is no problem whats so ever with my graphics card. Plase stop trying to suggest that it is the problem. The graphics on the game run perfectly, which is exactly what I said earlier on.

I did not say i was unhappy with the DLC, the new weapons are acceptable - it's the fact that ONLY people who have bought it can play it, and there aren't going to be many.
What is insulting is the fact that the main game hasn't even been fixed yet, the DLC has been released just to get more money. The fact you are charging for it is insulting. All of this you have ignored from my previous e-mai.l.

I have provided you with information of my system before, where you went ahead to first blame my laptop for being a laptop, then my graphics card, then my network... What is the point in resending you the same information again so you can make up more excuses for why your game does not run perfectly on anybody's computer?

And don't say it doesn't affect everyone on the pc, because if that were true then why are there so few remaining pc players left?!

And why has a DLC been released when the game desn't work properly in the first place! And the DLC is a farce, ONLY people who have the DLC can play the DLC maps and guerilla maps. Did you not stop and think that as people have had such an appaulling service so far with the game and the, quite literally, rubbish online gaming ability that too few people would buy this and then make it impossible for anyone to play a decent online match? So in effect you have just released 6 new weapons, nothing more.

And why are we being charged for this? After the absolutely disgraceful version of the game that was released in the shops, and the completely untried and waste of time patches that have been released so far, this DLC should be FREE to everyone. Quite frankly i'm disgusted by the way ubisoft is ignoring the PC users and just making pathetic attempts to make more money.

Hi, can i ask why a patch has just been released that hasn't addressed any of the serious issues that plague this game on the PC? These connection problems should be your top priority - don't know if you realise this but it is causing the number of people playing online on the PC decline greatly, it's becoming very difficult to find 8 players to play a match.

There are a couple more issues, such as sometimes when you open the game all of your online characters have reset to level 0 and you need to restart the entire game & Uplay in order for the levels to appear back correctly.

Also the ingame friend's list is a bit bugged, i am having great difficulty in sneding/recieving any new friend requests from people, they are also experiencing difficulties in sending/recieving requests to others.

I would like this call to remain open so i can be notified of when a solution to the connect issues is made. Will there be a patch 1.5?

I must ask, do any of you check your own forums for people's complaints? There are hundreds of different players complaining about connection issues.

You have not yet admitted that the problems exist within the game, every single response i have had has been suggesting that the problem is my end. Every single response i have replied back with and said repeatidly that the game works perfectly on my computer, i am able to play perfectly on single player, i can connect to people's parties and lobbys usuall without much trouble. When i get on a good game server it works well, but it can take 20 minutes of constant searching to find a good game.

You really ned to look into this and accept that the problem is far more widespread than you think and it is either that the game itself is faulty or it has been designed in a way that 99% of computers are not comptible - if that is the case then the minimum requests listed on the box is a lie - eg. false advertising, which i believe is illegal in virtually every country. You need to get a new patch out to fix these problems (after properly testing them!!!).
Customer Apw via CSS Web 09/08/2012 13:29
    Hi,

If you had read my last response this was not resolved as i was testing it. My results are this makes no difference; i'm still experiencing the connection lost problemn. Recently the issue has been getting even worse, sometimes when i invite a friend into my party the instant we press the join Game button we immediately receive the Connection Lost message.

Again i say this is issue effects the vast majority of players. There is also the issue of when people are waiting in a Lobby the game counter gets down to 10 and just stops, i thought patch 1.4 was meant to fix this.

    Hi,

Well, it may not affect everyone, but the vast majority of people i have played with or seen posting on the forums have these issues. none of them are aware of anyone who doesn't suffer from this problem.

    I'm connected through broadband.
I use a router - i'm not able to connect directly through the network socket.
I have tried both via wireless and directly through the router.

I've played many other games online and never experienced problems trying to connect to a game like this. I play with a group of people online, 4 of us will go into a game together and at exactly the same time, all 4 of us will be kicked out of the game with the "connection lost" message. If it was my computer or network, i could understand if it was just me being kicked ou of a game. Yet for 4 people to simultaniously be kicked out of a server, supports the suggestion that it is the multiplayer settings on the game that are faulty.

The 1.4 patch had promised to fix this problem, which in effect is Ubisoft acknowledging that it is the game that is faulty and not our computers/networks.

    Hi,

None of this makes any difference. And I say again, the problem is with the game and not my computer - I think the fact that every single PC player experiences these problems all over the world supports this.

I must ask, when there is a game full of people, some with very good connections, why does the game always seem to connect to the person with the slowest connection? The server migrates to other players constantly in games, I have spoken to others who also always experience this.

Please can you ensure that in the 1.5 fix that this issue is resolved?

Hi, I do not believe me playing on a laptop is an issue. I have never seen on the game case or inside anyhting mentioning that laptops are not acceptable.

However, after sorting out a minor graphics issue when i first installed the game, it runs perfectly. Single player runs flawlessly, I cannot find anything wrong with it at all. When in multiplayer, once i have connected to a player with a good server speed, the game runs without a problem. There is nothing wrong with my drivers or graphics as the game runs so smoothly with them.

I do disable my firewall while playing and there are no programs running in the background to prevent me from connecting to servers. I don't believe the issue is with my laptop.

I have once played a game, it was running very smoothly, no problems at all and then all of a sudden i lost my connection - even though there was no lag or evident connect problems.

From viewing the Ubisoft forums and from discussing with players in game, every single player on a PC is experiencing this connection issue while playing online. I have only raised this with yourselves as a Forum moderater requested me to do so. As everyone is experiencing this problem, it leads me to believe this issue lies with the game itself and not with the players, otherwise this game would not be compatible with any computer.

Regarding your issue with the connection dropping, Unfortunately the game does not support Mobile graphics card such as Laptops and we cannot guarantee that the game will work on unsupported computer configurations.

There are a few things that you can try to get the game running, but we are unable to provide any additional support for this issue:

    -First uninstall the game.

-Disabling firewall, anti-virus and background app's switched off, clearing the Temporary files, update drivers

    Disabling your background applications:

To do this, go to the Start menu on your desktop (or, if using Windows Vista/Windows 7 press the Windows key and the letter R at the same time)
Type in MSCONFIG and press Enter
Go to the tab, which says Start-up
Click the option to Disable All
Press Apply, then Close then pick the option to Restart

    Clearing your temporary files:

To do this, go to the Start menu on your desktop (or, if using Windows Vista/Windows 7 press the Windows key and the letter R at the same time)
Type in %TEMP% and press enter.
Go to Edit and Select All.
    Go to File and Delete.

NOTE Make sure the drivers for your video card, sound card, motherboard and processor are up to date
We can see that you don't have any drivers installed for your video card

It's important that the components of your machine have the most up to date drivers. If they are not then you may experience a number of different issues. To update your video card and sound card drivers you would be best off going to the video cards and sound card's manufacturers’ website. For motherboard drivers and processor drivers, you would be best off going to the machine manufacturer’s website.

If you have a laptop, you need to visit the laptop manufacturer’s website to update all drivers.

-If the demo is installed then uninstall the demo

-Could you please confirm if you're connected through WIFI or cable? If you're connected through WIFI please try via cable and vice versa. Make sure that you do have the necessary ports opened for the game to work properly, see link:

    Hi,

I have experienced issues with the muliplayer connections on version 1.3, unfortunately it would seem that they are still present on 1.4. While i can play the odd game, it can still take 10 minutes of "Connection Failed" messages to actually find a working game. Truth be told, unless I am able to find a game where the host has a smooth connection, and they continue to be a host for several games, there doesn't seem to be much improvement in regards to the connection issues.

Also when waiting to enter a game, the chat box still will not allow anyone to scroll up. Typing seems to be much better though as it no longer cuts you off half way through a word.

While playing everything seems to run smoothly (unless the host player has appauling connection). Sometimes while waiting to enter a game the countdown still freezes on 10 seconds, even when enough players are present - i've not yet had it to freeze for more than a couple of minutes though.
